Were you just randomly thinking of Robert Ginty (which is a perfectly good person to be randomly thinking about) or is this connected to the fact that he died earlier this week? Reply to this

Fred Williamson? Robert Ginty? (a.k.a "The Paperchase Guy" ;D) I can't believe that you didn't do a reference to the "Warrior of the Lost World" episode of MST3K. Or maybe you weren't into that show ?

If only The Cinema Snob could review "Devil Story" by Bernard Launois. It's the best French slasher film ever produced. Which makes it one of the worst slasher films of all time.

I agree with you 100% on the latest family guy dvd. They ripped you off by charging full price for the fewest number of episodes yet on a dvd. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the commentaries they have on the episodes. They're a must. But without seth there's definately something missing. I was really disappointed that seth wasn't there cause he makes those commentaries. Reply to this

Sorry, sugar. I'll try to get Sarah to sit down and watch Women's Camp this weekend.
Suprisingly, she isn't that keen on watching the "holocaust abortion" movie. Go figure. Reply to this

While not a Family Guy fan, I feel your pain on the price for DVD sets of television shows. About the only thing I am willing to pay full price for as far as a television series goes is Doctor Who. Everything else, I am more than willing to wait till it comes down.
On the plus side, consider yourself lucky that Family Guy was not released by Paramount. You'd be waiting forever for the price to be reasonable. Reply to this

Hey Brad, have you ever checked out Robot Chicken on DVD? I had and that show kept me in stitches. Plus, Seth Green is in EVERY commentary on every one of those DVDs. He's like one of the busiest individuals I've ever heard! Reply to this

When you said the bit about Robert Ginty looking like the spawn of Harry Anderson and Charles Bronson, I was like, "Harry Anderson? Wait, you mean the judge from 'Night Court?' Really?!" I almost didn't want to see for myself because just trying to visualize that image was so...fun!

I know this is almost a year old, but I'll still respond in saying that Family Guy is sort of my guilty pleasure these days, and I also absolutely love listening to the commentaries they put out (I like the commentaries to Futurama, nerdy as they are, and the commentaries to the early Simpsons I have). I was also pretty disappointed that Seth wasn't on all the commentaries like usual, but I guess Danny Smith is good enough (for the most part).
My biggest beef with the FG DVDs lately actually is the fact that they had the gall to put 0-2 episodes on the last disc. Volume 5, lots of episodes on the first two discs, but there's NOTHING on that third one except special features. Seeing that mistake, they decided to put ONE episode on the Volume 6 third disc, and fuckall if I ever watch it because I'm not popping in a whole DVD for one solitary episode. Volume 7 which you've got in the video there has two episodes on the last DVD, which is getting better but still not that worth it. So... yeah, they need to either break it up so there's more than 2 episodes on the last disc or just have two discs.
Still, I got all seven and I'll probably get the eighth this fall, so again, guilty pleasure. Nice to see you share it. Reply to this
