This was a petty decent movie, but that lead singer of that punk band annoyed the hell out of me. I thought it was funny how the movie kind of ripped off the "you talkin' to me" scene with the buffalo painting. Keep posting the public domain stuff, everybody likes free movies.

Got this one in a box set. Gritty movie made on a shoestring budget. Impressive considering. Funny Brad mention's American Psycho. I picked up on that too first time around. Might just be a combination of the New York setting and bum murder. Hear someone is trying to remake it. Ugh.

This movie is pretty decent it has a real documentry feel although I could see this movie possibly driving the average movie goer insane with this poor soul during a screening. It is funny that you posted this film really because I actually found out I have it in my collection in one of my Mill Creek (or as I like to call them Shit Creek) multipacks and was going to watch it this weekend. Well at least I won't be driving my girlfriend insane with this one it may send her over the edge. I can't wait to see what you post next. Thanks, Brad.

GREAT choice for a film, Brad. Driller Killer, The Warriors, and Death Wish are my trinity of films that exemplify the bad old days of New York in the 70s...back when 42nd street was still...well, 42nd street.

I can appreciate this for what it is but I don't think I'll ever watch it again. You definitely do get put in his shoes and get when he goes crazy but it's such an unpleasant, aggravating process that I'll never get the urge to do it a second time. However, the end is creepy as all hell. Granted, my name is Stephen so your mileage may vary.

I'm a huge Ferrara mark and this is one of his early gems. Haven't watched it in some time, so I might have to indulge. Keep up the amazing work Brad! Love the new site and I love hearing your thoughts on the new stuff too.

Excellent movie and thanks for posting. There is something electrifying about the squalid artistic struggle shown in this movie. When Reno takes his revenge on his pay master and Carol, the red screens are like virtual reality moments for our minds to act on. What time dose the drill shop open ?

i picked this up a few years ago. not bad at all, but it's sort of a weird excuse for a slasher flick. i actually prefer watching this one with the Abel Ferrara commentary (if you can). fucking hilarious!

Dude you liked The Driller Killer? that movie is so boring. Normally I like weird horror movies; but this one didn't appeal to me...for some reason. You hated Unhinged but not this? WTF? I know you hated Unhinged (but you hate everything) but Unhinged was better than this. I like Able Ferra (he sorta the poor man's marty scorsse).

YES!! Driller Killer!! Great psychological study/slasher movie! The drill-kills are still great to watch and Ferrara does an excellent job playing this slowly cracking psycho. They pad out the film a bit too much with the punk band, though; funny how there's no payoff with them getting drilled-up. I was just begging for them to get turned into Swiss cheese.
