Question though. Where did you get the copy of Mondo Erotico? I've been trying to find a DVD of it but so far no luck.
I'm in the process of collecting the real and fake Black Emanuelle films(Laura Gemser fan here) but so far that one has eluded me.

I find this series fascinating, watching a director blossom and honing his craft with each episode. What cinematic gems await when Mattei turns his lens to the world of nunsploitation? I guess I will just have to wait until the next installment (because I am certainly not going to watch The True Story of Monza or The Other Hell beforehand!)

Would it be possible for you to send me the theme song for the fantastic Bruno Mattei show? It's the jazzy number from SS Girls, I'm sure you've heard it before.
Sound and picture are greatly improved and even though I enjoy them, I'm pretty happy the Mondo Movies are coming to an end.

Finally the LAST Mondo movie Bruno Mattei ever made, well at least according to the imdb page and I hope you are sticking to that list Brad. Can't wait for you're next episode and yeah I think the one with Laura Gemser and Cicciolina were the best out of the series.

Hey,
the animated section "Schneeflittchen hinter den sieben Bergen" was actually produced in germany around 1980b by Armor Film, as some sort of novelty porn. And its production is not related in any way to Bruno Mattei or italy at all.
I'm not shure if Mattei even was allowed to use the footage.

What the...he even used one of those cheap german porn-animations from the 50s-60s, which were based on classic fairy tales? "Schneeflittchen hinter den 7 Bergen" ("Snowslut behind the 7 mountains"), urgh. x__x

About those cartoon segments: This is a whole german genre. The most common name for it is "Erotische Zeichentrickparade" (erotic cartoon parade). They took all kinds of fairy tale stories and made pornographic cartoons out of them. Those are absolute classics. They are beyond hilariously funny if you speak German since, get this, they are voiced and narrated completely in rhyme! So basically what you get is adult versions of classic children's nursery rhymes.

Mwoa porn is giving them too much credit. I've seen a bunch of them but it's softcore at best. Granted they tend to fixate on rape and S&M type stuff so they feel more dirty than they actually are.

I must compliment you again. This is the most interesting and important work on fringe cult cinema the web has to offer. I just finished watching Mattei's The Jail: A Women's Hell (2006) and look forward to following you all the way there.
