The ones that complained this time where the distributors of Lady Terminator? Really? They bitch about some small critical review but it's okay for them to make a film that more than rips off the original Terminator but is practically a carbon copy?
Yeah, I figured your You Tube account got axed when I could not find any full episodes. It's a good thing I got all of the episodes before that happened thanks (God bless Keep Vid!). The only episodes I don't have "pre-website," is the ones shown during Pierre Kirby week.
Yeah The Cinema Snob's on heavy rotation on my Ipod when I'm at work.

Youtube's not bad for music fans... certainly a lot less bitching over videos than there. Plus I find a lot of new (especially international) artists through YouTube.
If there was a way though for these critics, like the Cinema Snob, the rest of the TGWTG crew, AVGN, etc., to establish their right to do these kinds of reviews (as I can't see how it infringes copyright laws by showing only partial clips and falling under parody) we could have this happen much less often. Youtube brings the accounts back anyway...

You got the right attitude, Brad. YouTube has degraded to cater the very audience you described; and with all the legal dogs on their asses they're constantly putting up the red flag on videos. Plus all the greats don't go for partnership on YouTube; they create their own sites. NC, Spoony, AVGN, and yourself to name a few.

Yeah Youtube has really gone the shitter this past 2 years. I don't even know why I keep half of my subscriptions. The only thing I regret about your Youtube account is that you didn't post your Bruno Mattei Tribute from 2007 on here. Well c'est la vie and the show must go on. Oh and Happy Birthday to Jillian, she brings a Je ne sais quoi to your vidoes.

Defending copyright complaints costs $$$. Youtube lacks the resources and manpower to vet the videos in advance, so the most cost effective model is to grant the ban first, and put the burden on the user to prove it is legal. It's gay, but from a legal standpoint, it is both cost-effective and reduces exposure to litigation.

I could see you keeping youtube for advertising purposes... but ya youtube has gone to shit. It's a little unfortunate that it was the Lady Terminator. I actually heard about that movie through your site and now I absolutely LOVE it. lol

You know its going to be a bad day when you find out your Youtube account has been closed all because of some shitty, underground Indonesian film company complains about the video review you do about their shitty rip-off that probably less than one one-thousandth of a percent of the population has ever heard of.
This also says alot about the people that own and run Youtube. Are they really sitting on their asses letting outside countries tell them what content they can post on their own website?
I started watching Youtube because of people like AVGN, Armake21, UrinatingTree, PlayItBogart, & of course TheCinemaSnob. Fast forward 3 years later....Armake21 and PlayItBogart are gone, UrinatingTree has been silent for 7 months, AVGN posts nothing but crap these days and now we have lost TheCinemaSnob.
Brad your right, Youtube only caters to carrying content for people who watch VH1, MTV or anything that has to do with the modern day Disney Channel. Youtube fucking sucks!

It's not just movie clips; the music companies take down song clips that are just the music and a video still REPEATEDLY, and it's totally random which "artist" or band gets the boot. There are 10 zillion Bob Dylan clips, but you can't find "Bastards of Young" by the Replacements, or it's some gawdawful 1988 VHS clip of a live show (and that band was no good live - they would get drunk before the show probably because of stage nerves.) If you want to see the original Replacements anti-video for "Bastards" you have to go to MTV2's website.
It's all bullshit....

You know thats another thing about today's music channels. Are the people running networks like MTV so lame that they have to replace the music videos on their original network with sorry ass repeats of bad reality shows then create another network to air the music videos that should have still been on the original network in the first place.

I'm going to repost exactly what I think about youtube that I posted on another forum:
"I don't know why people use youtube. All it takes is a single person making several sock accounts and chain-reporting to get anyone off the air. And if that doesn't work, just file a DCMA from a fake email account representing some fake made up company (Some guy I use to be subscribed to got taken off because of a claim by "I HATE U FUKIN FGT incorporated") , youtube never checks it, and most of it is done automatically. And the process to get your account back takes many times more effort than making the claims in the first damn place.
I can't wait for youtube to collapse under it's own weight and someone like Viddler to take over."

I feel your pain, one of my youtube videos got banned a few months ago for absolutely no legit reason since I had the authrization of the copyright holders actually included in the video. When I used youtube's response system to dispute it, I got no response at all, when I tried emailing them, they refused to answer since it wasn't a DMCA takedown. Assholes.

Really, the people behind Lady Terminator are offended for perfectly justified scrutiny? They ought to be thankful that the makers of 'The Terminator' didn't sue them for plagiarism!
I believe your first warning came about as a result of your 'Jesus: the movie' video, that was dubbed with all sorts of profanity. I think that's what you told me nearer the time anyway.
Now that your on TGWTG, I really am curious to know if and when we'll see some collaboration with someone else from TGWTG team?

Ya I figured you were'nt using it anymore. I did know you were just using it for advertisement purposes to direct remaining fans or new ones to your site; I didnt think you were putting anything up that could even be considered bannable. But ya im not a fan of youtube anymore.
Like someone else said I use it to find videos and stuff about newer bands I like or something, thats the only use I get out of it now and honestly I dont HAVE to go to youtube for that, I just do because I know how to find stuff there.

Secondly, with regards to LADY TERMINATOR and other B movies, it never ceases to amaze me why anyone even remotely connected to these films wouldn't be thanking their lucky stars that SOMEONE is watching and (more importantly) REFERENCING the work in question. Honestly, Snob, you should be getting thank-you checks in the mail for just showing the movie artwork; let alone reviewing the damn things.

I'm noticing people thinking the producers of Lady Terminator might be the cause of this, this may not be the case. Like I said it only takes one fuckhat and a fake e-mail account to get someone off the air.
The makers might be completely unaware of it, besides we really don't know who truly owns those kinds of films. Pretty much anyone can file an abuse claim simply because it is virtually impossible to track down some of these people. All this could have been is the work of a single bitter basement-dweller.

I'm glad you decided to make keep everything on a website as opposed to doing everything through youtube. The only problem with not having your youtube page is that blip tv lags on lesser computers. I have access to two comps, one works fine with it. But the other really lags on blip tv. So if people dont go to the site, that's probably why.

There's plenty of shows I still watch on Youtube, and it's true I wouldn't have my show without them; but that doesn't mean that they're not run by a bunch a pricks. I'm talking on the business end, not the talent end. Though there are pricks on the video end too, but no one I know.

I have no problem with Youtube.
Sure they have a hair trigger with complaints of copyright infringement, but the site is still good for people to upload their own material and temporary clips. Other sites can do that too, but generally there's still more to find on youtube.
Also, it's not like you can't understand why they have the system they do to protect themselves. Not everyone is as well protected or as brave as the piratebay was.
