I was wondering if you ever considered reviewing any of the American Ninja series. I enjoyed the Pierre Kirby reviews.
Just curious do you have other ninja exploitation films that are not connected with Godfrey Ho or Pierre Kirby?
I agree with you that heroes who possess invincibility are frustrating to watch. I'm glad you mentioned that in your Rikki Oh review.
Would it be funny in Rikki Oh if Hulk Ang Lee turned the protagonist into a basketball just like Toxie did to a guy in Toxic Avenger 2? The gore effects remind me of those films. The reason why I suggest this idea is because invincibility makes action heroes too boring; especially when they have the on and off switch of random superpowers.
I'll stick with a James Bond movie over Rikki Oh thank you very much. lol

On the green flicker... PAL conversion artifact maybe? I have no idea why the original would be IN PAL format but it's the only thing I can think of.

That squeak was great.
But, seeing that title reminded me of another movie: "American Commandos" with Christopher Mitchum ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088705/ ).
(Un)fortunately the similarity ends right there, but it's still a very bad, very funny movie. Might not quite be bad enough for the snob, though.

Yeh I feel like one of the chimps from Project X after seeing all that radiation flash before my eyes.
As for the masks the crooks wear, one mask looks like an Ultraman mask or something and the other is a Gundam mask...
By the way Brad thanks for making mev laugh for about 3 hours straight with the Body Shop review when I saw the bloody clap board...
I have seen boom mikes in shots but it never bothered me, but seeing a clap board is worthy of the golden suck award.

Brad, you are fucking awesome. Your videos always brighten my days, and it is great that you are exposing these long lost forgotten gems to everyone. Well, some of them deserve to be forgotten, but they are good for a laugh none the less. I have watched almost all of your videos, and everything you do is pure gold. Thank you! Btw, you really should take up acting, you definitely gave the best performance in the Kickassia videos. You totally need to be in TV or movies.

If I am not mistaken in Japanese culture arm pit hair is considered sexy. Could apply to other parts of Asia as well. Which would explain why the dancer did not shave her pits. Again, if I am not mistaken.

Man I love the saturated colours and sounds of 1980s Pierre Kirby action movies. Whats the song you play when you did the Pierre Kirby Week marathon? That song kicks ass.

You are clearly allergic to Pierre Kirby. And in Japanese culture, sneezing means someone is talking about you. Perhaps Pierre Kirby saw your video in his mountain hut in Tibet and said "I'm sending this fucker 30 bucks."

You magnificent BASTARD, bravo you totally took me by surprise with this new Pierre Kirby movie. Great to see a new one and hope if you find anymore you keep them to review for a special occasion. Also one of the masks was a Gundam and that frogger music was awesome.

Brilliant! Nice detective work, Brad. And thanks for the reassurance that IMDB isn't the all-powerful resource it comes across as. Blimey though, this Kirby film looks more poorly stitched together than any of the others you've covered... A career low. Or high, as the case may be...

Ah, good to see my little efforts gae fruits so dang (ted) fast. Thank you snob, you just made me' day.
Also, for the people wondering about the green flickers, it is actually very simple: the VHS was recorded in longplay, and the footage for the snob vid is being recorded from both a VCR and TV-Card that really aren't that compatible with the format (mind you, not many do).
Also Brad, "Dressed to Fire" pops up on ebay every now and then,
Reply to this
That's actually not it, though you're right, that's primarily what causes green flashing in videos. In this particular case though, the green flashing was actually on the tape.

CS, your squeal of glee was matched by my own when I heard "The Jet Set" start. Yay!
Concerning the tape, it looks like what AVGN did in regards to videotaping. (The more a tape is used, the more its quality diminishes.) Either your copy has been watched and rewatched too many times, or it was made from a master that's almost too worn out to duplicate properly.
Frogger, Yakkety Sax, The Jet Set, and Pierre Kirby. All the greatness of the 80's in one review. Really made my day.

Dis American commando 3: Savage Temptation is really a very beautiful picture. Movies like dis give me the hard-on for the action in them and also the dialogs in them too. I am claiming 100% credit for this installment of Cinema Snob Mysteries due to my comment on Alien 2.
And good lord, that is the goofiest damn movie...Though calling a Godfrey Ho movie goofy is like calling water wet.
All snob fans must now unite to track down the remaining Lost Kirby Tapes. Big hopes I know, but at least I'm not asking for a Stephen Spielberg-Indiana Jones type movie starring The Snob on a quest for the Kirby Tapes, and maybe even the MAN HIMSELF.

Either it's reused footage, or Pierre Kirby is still around...

The plot summary make it sound like a "Zombie vs. Ninja" re-release, being honest.

Why does Brad and some comments mention Japan? This is a Hong Kong moivke, like all the other Kirby movies.
Seriously...are people in 2010 still not capable of telling China and Japan apart?
Reply to this
Japan, Hong Kong? It's all Greek to me.
Reply to this
Well, the part of the movie that Godfrey Ho directed was certainly filmed in Hong Kong, but the other film he spliced his footage in may very well be Japanese. After all, a lot of the footage from his "cut-and-paste" (aka the movie he made better with the inclusion of the non-related Pierre Kirby action) movies are from South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines and sometime Hong Kong (good luck finding those movies on IMDB though!).

Brad, i think you'll find that Kirby is speaking with an australian accent, not british, though i could be wrong.

Could be Australian or British. It drifts in and out throughout the movie. I probably thought British because Pierre Kirby himself was a British citizen.

Hi Brad,
I was wondering if you ever considered reviewing any of the American Ninja series.
I'll stick with a James Bond movie over Rikki Oh thank you very much. lol
Keep up the good work! Your reviews are awesome!

I think Pierre Kirby was either abducted by pirates- like CORNELL WILD was in SHARKS TREASURE which the SNOB should - or is retired and living under his real name, or is dead, or is property developer in South East Asia, or is a professional wrestler born in 1981.

Another great review of the Kirby-Movies. "Crackdown Mission" is also a pretty dull view in the "not-Pierre-scenes", but good to know, that you have that movie and that we may (i hope so) get another Pierre-Review in the future.
And, as a Mattei-Fan, i wonder if you've seen the last two Bruno-Flics "Island of the living dead" and its semi-sequel "Zombies: The Beginning".

Hi there! Recent watcher, first time commenter or similar. First off, liking your work so far! Keep it up!
Second, I couldn't help but notice that some of the music in that movie (namely movie A) are from other stuff. The one I recognise is music from the 1980's Japanese series Kinnikuman [Muscleman], a slapstick wrestling series (also my favourite series. How can you not like a show that has Soviet Cyborgs with claws, a giant spring, a human VCR and a British guy who looks like Hulk Hogan with Magnetic powers fighting against one another?). Any ways, this is one of the music tracks I recognised shown in there, it's really spot on! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hmb7zf71Xbs
Thought I'd mention that to ya.
