Road Trip to Chick-Fil-A, Part 1

I've had a craving for Chick-Fil-A for a couple months now.  Unfortunately, there's not one in Springfield.  So you know what that means.  Road Trip!  But it's going to prove to be a bigger pain in the ass than we anticipated.

And don't forget to check out Pierre Kirby's return below in American Commando 3!!

I went Chick-Fil-A hunting in my city and to my fury, it was not a big one. (it was a Chick-Fil-A express with a limited menu).

I fully expected a crap sandwich (like Wendy's) and I was really pissed when I found out it cost 2.95 a sandwich. Then I actually bought 1.

And I was SURPRISED. It wasn't a Chicken patty. It was actually a piece of cut chicken. I was like "HOLY CRAP!"

I just looked, it says "limited hours and/or accessibility - please call first" on 6 out of 8 locations in Illinois. They really seem to have a weird franchise policy that makes it seem strange that they would revoke a license because someone wouldn't open on Sundays. Rather a restaurant that is closed on Sundays but generally open to the public than one that is open every day but can't be visited, i'd say.

Right now we have 2 McDonalds, 2 Subways, a Quiznos, A Dairy Queen, A Whataburger, A Sonic, A Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell in the same building, Popeyes, and we just now have a Burger King. We used to have a Chili's for a couple of years until they closed down. Two places I wish we can get rid of are Taco Bell and Popeyes because Taco Bell is the anti-christ of the Mexican Food inudustry and Popeyes's chicken just plain sucks at least to me.

The dorms are always closed during the summer so ofcourse that one is closed and the one in State Farm is trash. Your better off going north around Aurora.
They got white castle and sonic up there too so you could hit each place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and then go into a cardiac.

Lol, you assume that I live in Illinois. I live in Southern California, so it would seem as if I have no clue about what you are talking about...

    but I do.

One of my family's all time favorite restaurants was "Taco Time". We lived in Washington (state) for a good amount of our lives, and Taco Time was always there. Then, when we moved down to SoCal, it was nowhere to be found. We had to travel quite a ways to get to a Taco Time, and when we finally got there, this version of Taco Time didn't even resemble the Taco Times that we went to. We've been to a lot, and they all look and feel the same, except the ONE in all of California.

Of course, Chick-Fil-A doesn't sound good to me. Maybe King's Pizza (The greatest pizza ever. Seriously, if you've ever wanted pizza that was so greasy that it immediately bled through the pizza onto the plate, and through the plate onto the table, then King's is right for you. Of course, if you don't live a couple blocks away, you'll never have the greasiest pizza ever made.)

Actually because church is open on Sunday is why Chick-Fil-A isn’t open on Sunday. The owner is extremely religious. Sorry you don’t have a Chick-Fil-A close to you. I live in the relatively small town of Waco, Tx and we actually have 2.

if your ever in Atlanta, I'll take you to the original Chick-fil-a dwarf house. around tthese parts they are like Starbucks in NYC. They have giant billboards with fake cow statues doing whacky stuff. Like threatening to push a giant self destruct button unless you eat more chicken. But they are cows so they spell it chikin. Braves stadium even has a 50ft chick-fil-a cow in the outfield that does the tomahawk chop.

I lived in that dorm (Woo Watterson Towers!) for two years, and yes it was awesome having a Chick-Fil-A in the food court, but sadly they took it out last year. So, even if you had actually made it into the food court, there wouldn't be a Chick-Fil-A anymore, they got rid of it about a year ago. I understand your cravings for it though, it's the best chicken ever. Ever. Also, it was very surreal seeing you walk around the campus of my college and dorm.
