Ah, the state fair, just crawling with some Brad tries opportunities heh. I remember trying chocolate bacon years ago, it was surprisingly good.
Also I am just now realizing that Jillian is a lot like my girlfriend haha, least on camera.

Cool video. I actually like pickles. Well, only sweet pickles. I can not find a restaurant that serves something other then Dill pickles. I can't stand Dill pickles. I just sent a e-mail to that person by the way. I hope that helps. Do my soda drinks next as payment!

And the award for the most shocking ending to an internet review video goes to, Brad at the Fair. Seriously, that was the last thing I expected to see in this or any review of yours. It's good to see Chicago is well represented at the Illinois State Fair. Pigs and cows representing the rural part of the state, vehicular manslaughter representing the city. The fair has something for everybody.

Fried pickles taste...interesting if you eat just one, or two, but after that they start to leave a really bad taste in your mouth. I guess they sort of remind me of salt n vinegar chips, except the flavor is very overpowering. I normally love pickles (and salt n vinegar chips), but I'll never eat another fried pickle.
There's this catfish place in Guntersville, AL that I always eat at when I go visit relatives. They serve fried pickles, and apparently they are very popular. Actually, they serve gator there too, but it's like gator nuggets.

I tried fried pickles a couple years back and really liked them. I do like pickles however. Great vid as always, good stuff. Made me miss the state fairs I never used to want to go to.

The ginger you get at a sushi bar is pickled ginger, so no wonder you don't like it.
Maybe you could try korean Gimchi (aka Kimchi) sometime. It's pickled, but more spicy than sour.

I've eaten alligator before, or it might have been crocodile, I don't know. Its harder to get a hold of over here in the UK.
To my memory, it had a fish-like consistency but tasted like chicken. Pretty good.

Everything with Brian and Sarah is automatically comedy gold, but with this the editing took the cake. The random shots of the fair were each more awesome than the last.

Man, you are looking rather kinda-homeless at the beginning...and I kinda like it.
Anyway, a lot of those foods aren't all that "weird", especially in the Midwest. I see fried pickles on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives all the time. And I went to a place last night that has a chocolate bacon sundae, which is pretty awesome. I'm jealous of my friends who went to Dragon*Con and went to a Cajun place in Atlanta with fried alligator. It sounded awesome.
I want a pizza cone. NOW!

It's impossible to find in the United States too. The only place I could ever find it in is in this one Oriental Market a short drive from my home. On the other hand, Ginger Ale is quite common.

Actually here in Terceira (Azores, Portugal) we have a fast food place that only serves pizza in cones, wich is funny since we don´t have a McDonald´s or any major fast food franchise, but we do have bizarre pizza in a cone franchise.
Of course that they do multiple varitions of pizza in a cone, some of them with cottage cheese and that tastes really good and fresh (specially with salmon)

I recently stayed down at Wildwood NJ and the board walk has pretty much everything you can think of fried. From Oreos to Pickels to cucumbers to reeses cups to M&Ms to Snickers to Hot Dogs to Corn Dogs to Pop Corn and so many other things.

For those that are curious, yes, that was indeed a sudden car crash at the end there. We just happened to catch it in the middle of our shot. Everyone was fine, it just totaled out that blue car you see there at the end.

If you squint your eyes a bit you can imagine it's the Bruno Mattei show talking about Rats. Still great episode and loved the fair scenes, especially the Problem Child 2 scene. It reminded me of my summer vacation and how I love salty food.

This will be my 4th email to Pepsi this year, but I'll use the address you suggested.
I'm going to recommend bringing it back for a month when the economy is good; that's when people are going to want to spend & stock up on a limited product. I also mentioned that retro is "in" with the fashionable & nerds alike.

Illinois fair? Brad, you must attend the Minnesota State Fair. Between teryaki(sp?) ostritch on a stick, deep fried green beans, chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick, deep fried Twinkies, and other foods being added every year I think you could have a Brad Tries that rivals no other. And would totally be worth the drive. Then you force Linkara to join in and then comedy gold occurs.
In terms of alligator there is a place close to my house that sells alligator burgers. Unlike most alligator this is super tender and the place has this awesome mustard sauce for the burger. It's so delicious.

The only things that I haven't tried in that video (and don't have occasionally)
The Pizza cone, and the Cheesecake on a stick....the pizza sounds better out of the two.
Gator is very common where I live, and we eat it at least 2x a month..the fried pickles..hmmm I dont care for pickles all that much, but when people make them here, they usually have them sliced, and not in spears..much more manageable size lol
The ginger at the sushi bar is only there to cleanse the palate when eating multiple types of sushi..
You know how if you eat a piece of cake and try to drink a soda afterwords (or anything really sweet) you cant really taste it? So you have to nibble on something savory to get rid of that sensation? Kinda the same thing with that ginger at a sushi place..thats the whole point of it.

The Tiss I do believe is an off-brand version of a Soda that is really popular in Jamaica named Ting that is just how you described it. I tried the soda on the island but when I found a bottle at my unique soda shop here in NE it tasted nothing like it

I have only ever had fried pickles once, at a pub in Calgary called Tipperary's. They were fantastic, and I've been wanting to have more ever since. And a great shout-out to my favourite drink of all time, ginger beer! Very cool episode!
