It's possible that he didn't have the gun cocked.

Even if it wasn't cocked, there could still be a round in the firing chamber. With an automatic, you can either drop a round into the chamber while the slide is locked back or you can work the slide once after you put the clip in to load one into the chamber (it's how I personally load my .45 and my .380; slide the clip in, jack a round into the chamber, then remove the clip and replace the bullet to give me an extra shot on the first clip). Being that he's supposed to be a professional assassin, I can easily see Fredericks doing that, so yeah; he would have still had one in the chamber - and at that close ranger there's no way he could have missed.

Well, there is also that fact that, assuming punching could trigger the round, bullets don't fly very well without a barrel to be pushed through. Of course this is irrelevant to the enjoyment of the video.

Guys I would also like to point out that the voice acting doesn't seem to be real. The lips don't follow the dialog being said and it's just not right... Another problem that my eyes have seen is that they don't seem very good at gun fu. I want my money back. When I saw the bald guy with the glasses I expected a fiber wire.
Seriously though, I can't tell if the comments above are serious or just adding to the fact that someone really pulled logic on this video.

I have been curious, assuming you even see this comment, but have your neighbors ever caught you dancing around your yard in the Kung Tai Ted outfit before? Like have people stopped to watch? I can't imagine I could be out walking my dog and see a guy in a red karate costume punching holes in snowmen and not stop and watch. I am curious like that, I guess.

I like the kung tai ted show a lot but I miss you just comically going through a fight sequence and deconstructing it as the bulk of the episode. Also I though you having fun with the dubbing thing was hilarious (saying there were 2 thing you needed to remember but holding up 3 fingers), don't see that anymore. Just the bad audio sinc gag.

Watch out, Ted! Solomon has a power you may be hard pressed to contend with: He's the director!
That said, next time you're interested in working on a feature-length film, doing something like Kung Pow without borrowing too much movie footage (or inserting it more like Godfrey Ho than Steve Odekirk, anyway) would be hilarious.

That fight was better choreographed than the ones in The Expendables. I don't know if that's hilarious or sad.

Remember, Ted...Most Martial Arts trained in the US ATTRACTS more dangerous people/criminals to a person than it repels, and can often send a martial artist to the pokey as an unintended result.

I love how much your fight scenes remind me of Godfrey Ho movies, I'd have to especially applaud you if you cut between close-ups of characters and give the illusion two characters are never in the same location together!

We already know Ted can launch rockets into space by punching them. So it makes sense he can shoot bullets by punching them out of a clip. Totally.
You can't hope to beat Ted in a bad dub off. He's simply the best there is.
