Dirty Harry and Sudden impact are my faves. The weakest is dead pool or the enforcer, which is still better than The Rock. The superman cartoons are fantastic.
And no one is getting my VHS, I lost hundreds when I moved house and no more will leave. I vow it. VHS is the best.

Just to clarify Donald himself was living in Nazi Germany and it shows how bad it is to live under Fascism then wakes up in the USA where his "freedom" is intact.

Sandra Locke was never married to Clint Eastwood. I thought she was until I saw a bio-doc on Clint a couple of weeks ago.

They broke up in the early 90s and she sued him for palimony. They settled out of court. Clint's been married twice since then. He's currently married to a young (compared to him) latino hottie.

There is no contact info for Josh. How can I send this guy my unwanted VHS movies? (I don't have a working VHS player so I can't watch 'em.)

Josh here, you can contact me at 1201beyond@gmail.com and thanks for clearing up that Locke thing, I was sure they were married but I was wrong, they were just lovers so I guess it was just a technicality, oh well.

"Out of Sight" and "Jackie Brown" were both based on Elmore Leonard novels, so they technically take place in the same universe.

Yeah and wasn't the president in the first one supposed to be a badly predictable bush parody?

This is the best new podcast I've heard in a year. Will it be added to iTunes? Either way, I can't wait for the future episodes. Excellent discussion.

I would really like more of a justification for liking the Dead Pool than it being an 80's movie. Liam Neeson was completely misused in that movie. The remote control car chase was extremely corny. And for a guy who nitpicks movies as much as you do, how could you like that car chase? how would he even know what is chasing him? how can that much of an explosion come from that size of a car? dirty harry is completely acting out of character if you compare his actions to the other movies. the dead pool is more like a parody of a dirty harry movie written by people who have never actually seen a dirty harry movie, but somehow has clint eastwood in it. the dead pool is an offensive movie and a disgrace to the franchise. i believe clint didn't want to do anymore dirty harry movies so they made this one bad on purpose just so they would stop asking him to do these movies. if you liked the movie, i guess thats your opinion and your entitled to you, but i would encourage you to reexamine the dead pool in comparison to the other movies in the series. i will concede that as a stand alone action movie, its not that bad. but as a dirty harry movie, it angers me. seriously angers me.

I think you're getting me confused with the character I play. I honestly don't nitpick movies that much, and I really love that car chase. A chase involving a remote control car carrying a bomb may not be up The Cinema Snob's alley, but it's definitely up mine.

Fair enough. I was kind of referring to some of your v-logs where you have rode some movies I like a little hard, but thats what opinions are for. The Dead Pool is one of those movies that obviously strikes a nerve with me. I'm sure you have movies that are like that for you as well.

Yes, Munch was in the very first episode as well as every episode up until about season 5. I am a huge fan and I am 100% sure of this. I think you are thinking of Ice-T as Finn, he did show up until the end of season 2.

I reviewed the final two Dirt Harry films a while ago. http://experiencecinematic.blogspot.com/2010/06/sudden-impact-eastwood-1983the-dead.html

Agree completely with THE ENFORCER being the worst of the series. Just a giant TV episode.

On the subject of a Snob review as Bruce Payne you could go for 1986's Solarbabies, which he was in, apparently. Been a very long time since I've seen it and while I don't particularly remember it being bad, it is inherently rife with joke potential and riff-ability because of the premise, the people involved and it just being 80's Dan-tastic.

Guys this was really enjoyable to listen to. Thanks for doing it. I guess it would be cool if you looked at the Planet of the Apes series (I have them all on VHS) and the Chris Walken "Prophesy" movies. I've seen the original first 3, but I know there were others with of all persons Kari Wurer.

They should remake the first dirty harry and I think either Hugh Jackman or Bradley Cooper would make the perfect candidate for Detective "Dirty" Harry Callahan. Who agrees?

Hell Yeah! Harry Brown was incredible! I remember watching that movie the same day I watched Defendor. I heard you mention Thriller. I can only find that movie on ebay. I'm gonna have to buy it before watching it just like I did with Ilsa.
