Yeah, I can't seem to stream any of them. I'm trying to dowload now and it's taking forever. Hopefully I'll get to hear one tonight before tucking in.

Brad, one of the alternate titles for Programmed to Kill is "The Retaliator."

I wonder if you guys remember a show called Raven? It was an action show from the 90's, quite cheesy, about an ex-special forces/ex ninja called John Raven who's trying to find his missing daughter. Very cheap, cheesy and entertaining stuff. It's an American show but I used to watch it on a British channel called Sky 1, here in Ireland in the early 90's. There was another great show simply titled 'Monsters,' it was like a poorer man's Tales From The Crypt, I can't find any info on it, even on IMDB. There was one really great episode based around a troop of American soldiers in Vietnam, who wind up in a cave full of zombies, extremely badass and original for its time (also early 90's). I wonder if anyone else has seen it and still remembers it to this day.

I have episodes of Raven on tape and I have all of Monsters (I love that show and it was not a low rent TFTD, it was by the same people and had the same budget per episode). The episode you are thinking of is, I think, The Hole. The one I like the best is Far Below.

This was great. Mike White interview was cool and I have been reading his book.

I'm so glad Monsters exists and wasn't a figment of my childhood imagination! Do you know if it ever got a dvd or vhs release? I actually preferred it to Tales From The Crypt, I just assumed they'd copied the format from them. I'm hoping Raven might also get a dvd release some day but I won't hold my breath.

I downloaded all of Tales From The Crypt a few months ago but found it extremely boring, I was disappointed because I'd loved it when I was younger, I only made it as far as season 2 before giving up.

Thanks so much for the information by the way. I was able to use the episode titles you mentioned to find the series on imdb. I even found a youtube upload of 'the hole'. Watching it right now! I was starting to think it was a lost cause and I wouldn't be able to track it down again. Much appreciated.

Monsters does not have a DVD release but there were many VHS tapes (2 episodes per tape) released in the 90's. I have tons of episodes on tape from the original airings and the show is really cool. Fangoria even called it the best horror show on TV during it's run.

I think Chiller runs episodes of Monsters now and then.

I've found a bunch of episodes on youtube so I will just have to make do with those until it gets a (possible) dvd release. the only VHS I can find is La Strega/Mannikins of Horror/The Cocoon, it's pretty cheap on amazon.co.uk but it's all they have.

I guess if you don't want your vision of Bill Maher sullied you shouldn't watch Out of Time, the weird sci-fi tv movie he did in the 80s.

Actually, you'd probably really want to see it.

Tarantino did rip off "City Of Fire". BUT so did SERGIO LEONE, that is rip off someone elses movie in order to become famous. Fistful of dollars is a remake Akira Kurosawa's film: Yojimbo from 1961. But Leone had to acknowledge that he ripped off that movie. And so should Tarantino. But Tarantino is still a great filmmaker.
