Good stuff! I think more likely though, it would all have just dried up. The patty would have been like rubber (or harder by now) and the bun would have crumbled to dust at the touch. But, this was grosser and therefore more fun, ha.

If only Rob decided to piss on the sandwich, we would've been treated to a great George Hardy impression by Mr. Jones. Funny nonetheless, and the "Hawaiian Heat" commercial break was a nice surprise, because now that theme song won't leave me alone.

I love this episode. There are people that have old mcdonalds burgers they show to classrooms to show how disturbing fast food is. The burger is many years old (or just a few months old) and it looks the same. The bun is crumbly a little and the patty is hard to the touch but it looks the same. The fries look the same too but are incredibly hard. I know the green slime was just to be funny but realistically that is what a mcdonalds burger would look like.

Not every burger does that. I remember the ones that were shown in the Bonus Features of Super Size me. Some stayed the same, while others... either became a huge gloopy mess or grew moss and bacteria. The fries however did stay exactly the same... it was kind of creepy.

That was a reference to the Nick Cage movie "Knowing".
I actually think Brad likes that one, it's one of those where Mr. Cage seems to have fun with the role.
I saw it in the theater and was actually entertained until the cheesy, stupid, brain-melting ending came up and made half of the crowd moan and the other half laugh their asses off.
I wasn't laughing, it was really painful.
Now, on to something good: This was my favorite episode of 80's Dan yet. I especially loved the visible struggle on Dan's face when he was chewing, trying to pretend it's tasty. Wonderful!

Love the episode and have to say that somehow I would not be surprised if one episode Mr. Crabtree walked in on ROB and the missus.

The episode did get better near the end. Still not sure whether I will keep watching though. Being a 90's kid this has no nostalgic value for me and the show is kind of boring to me personally. But I did enjoy most of it.

Great episode, just one problem: the cheesy laugh track was pretty much missing in action the whole time. Until almost right near the end, we didn't hear any fake laughter at all except maybe in the transitions into the opening credits & commercial. There were lots of spots that were clearly written for canned laughter that felt empty without it. I know some people (including me) complained about the excessively loud canned laughter in your first ep, but come on, it's an 80's throwback, it needs *some* kind of cheesy fake laugh track running through it!

When Dan takes his first bite on that rotten burger, I was expecting a quick cut to an ambulence siren like in a Spongebob episode where Mr. Krabs ate a rotten Krabby Patty. Thank goodness the Big Mac will always be around.
I have both Timothy Dalton Bond movies on DVD. Ultimate Editions, restored picture and sound, and packed with special features. That's how I like 'em!

Holy Shit! Someone actually has a set of The Transformers McDonalds toy things. I remember those things so damn well. People think im crazy when i say my favorite McDonalds toy as a kid was a cheesburger the transformed into a dinosaur. Its like no one knew they existed or something. That was the biggest piece of Nostalgia for me this episode.......Also TARDIS!!!

Nobody was ready for that...and I remember when it did come out...I also remember the McDLT and thought that it was stupid.
Great episode, made me remember the days when McDonalds had some very stupid ideas.

There was never an Arch Deluxe over here in the Netherlands, but there was a McDeluxe, and it seems similar. If it's the same thing: the McDeluxe is the tastiest burger that I ever ate at McDonald's. The bloody thing was a special now and then at first, than earlier last decade it became a standard, and then it was discontinued and I haven't seen it since, not even as a special.
I would love for it to make a comeback, at least as a special.

80's Dan is one of my favorite shows (and characters) on this site. I've been hooked from the first episode! I'd love to see an episode dealing with Dan's taste in music. Any mention of the band Toto would totally give me an 80's-gasm!

Travis Crabtree is named after a character from "Legend of Boggy Creek." Brian's Travis character first showed up in "The Geek" episode of The Cinema Snob.

Best episode ever! Hilarious from beginning to end, Brad was genuinely scary at the beginning. The green gunk reminded me a lot of Troll 2.

Great episode. Remembered me of the many times I still tend to forget how long exactly you can store fresh fruits and vegetables in a refrigerator. I kind of wish that stuff in my ´frige would at least look like that abomination in your video -the green-goo look is still better then the "eldritch abomination"-look of the moldy junk I already had to clean out several times.

The McDLT's were actually pretty good... for about the first 2 weeks when it came out.
Then the restaurant managers got lazy and never stocked fresh lettuce or tomatoes. So you either got green tomatoes and wilted lettuce or had to wait 15 minutes for one while an employee ran over to the local supermarket to get the stuff (that last bit actually happened to me).
Just like Taco Bell, just shuffle around the same 4 ingredients and call it something new. If you try and innovate beyond that it blows everybody's mind and fast food managers end up sitting in the corner shaking with fear.

This was pretty good episode. I somewhat remember the Mc D.L.T., but I remember having and playing with the McDonalds transformers toys far more, lol. I really hope we get more episodes of this show, its a nice change of pace from your other shows, which are just as good too.

I really laughed when that highway collapsed (at 4:13 into the video).
Because watching typical internet reviewers do stuff like this i had suspected poorly made photoshopped stiff animation..... but then he showed that video clip... AND I LAUGHED SO HARD. The rest of the video was funny too, but i laughed most about that highway thing.
PS: they didnt use that binary number thingee, which dan found in the box, for anything at all in this episode. I hope they will use it in a spin-off in the future.

Ah the McDlt, McDonalds Transformer toys. I was so upset when they decided to get rid of it. Then came and went the McArch.
Still my all time favorite was the McRib, though now once in a blue moon it comes out you better bet I'll be in line to get one.
