I find it very amusing, that nothing on the label has to do with Nazism
The eagle is our current coat of arms (the "Bundesadler"), the coat of arms in the years 1933 to 1945 was the "Reichsadler" holding a garland with a swastika in it.
And the Berlin Wall was built 16 years after the end of World War 2 by the government of East Germany under Walter Ulbricht.
Ok, I guess they couldn't use a drinking comic-swastika and a slogan like "from the other side of Poland".
All complains (ok, these weren't complains, just clarifications) aside, the drink is awesome. I so want some!!!

Maybe it's called Not See Cola because it's clear. And the Germanic references are all non-Third-Reich.
As for Leninade, that just proves my point. While that cola is clearly a references to the evil man Lenin, and has a Hammer and Sickle on it, it is thus clear that they were referencing Communism.
Which means one of two things:
1) They are communists, which means they are for sure not facist Nazis, which means that the Not See Cola is not Nazi-based. (note: I personlally would argue communism is far worse than fascism/Nazism, but this is nether the time nor the place nor the forum for that discussion)
or
2) The Not See Cola is indeed supposed to reference Nazi Germany (and fails to do so properly - after all, if they can throw a hammer and sickle on leninade, it should not be that hard to throw a swastika on this) ***** . BUT, if they wanted two sodas, one for each reference, then that means they probably don't support either ideology, and it is meant as a joke, which you acknowledge in your post above.
And if it's a joke (albeit a somewhat tasteless one), then that means they do not really support these ideologies, and the money you use to buy it is not going to fund racists and the like.
So that's good.
***** Of course, for some reason these days, the hammer and sickle is a perfectly fine symbol (or a picutre of Che) to wear on a shirt or belt buckle or whatnot, but the swastika is not. Now, I think that both of these symbols are outrageous and symbolize pure evil, but I am perplexed these days by the acceptance of communism as "good totalitarianism" but the rejectance of nazism/fascism as "bad totalitarianism". Although I do argue that fascism/nazism is an enormous evil, I still think it is the lesser of two enormous evils. So I am somewhat bothered by the current cultural perception.

On the bottle, the eagle is covering it's eyes when looking at the label. Also, it would be much harder for them to sell this thing with a swastika on it. The name is intended as a joke, but seriously, who cares?!?!? Crystal Pepsi is back!

I know there's a soda shop in Lincoln, Nebraska that sells it but I probably won't drive through there for another year.

You might get a few strange looks wearing the Crystal Pepsi jacket at the state fair (though I doubt it, but it has been a few years since I've been to the Illinois State Fair) but you could totally wear it to the Decatur Celebration (aka White Trash Bash) without anyone giving you a second look. No, I take that back. You would get strange looks, but not because of the jacket but because you don't have a mullet. Can you tell I just escaped from the Asshole of Illinois?

Birch beer seems to be an acquired taste. A friend of mine gave me some and, well...let’s just say he should consider himself lucky that I stayed friends with him after that. It tasted exactly like Vick’s Formula 44.

The best kind of advice I would give for anybody ordering cases of Not See Cola is to make sure they replace the labeling with their own creative label as Crystal Pepsi.
Brad, you could've cut from the Van Halen song to the Book Burning music from Last Crusade as a good way to spruce up the video's humor.

I'm going to find and buy this Not See Soda now because ever since Istarted watching your videos Bad I've been wanting to try Crystal Pepsi since I was only like 4-5 years old when it came out and my family are mostly Coca Cola and Dr. Pepper drinkers so it's highly unlikely that I ever tried it back then or remember trying it as a little kind! I'm doing this in German for shits and giggles but will post it again in English so you can read it if you are unwilling to translate it!

central pennsylvanian here. we love the odd flavored stuff. white birch beer is a very common thing here, it is in almost all vending machines. you already got them moxie in a previous review. teaberry - almost no one outside of PA knows of the stuff. it is pepto-y but it is just what the berry tastes like(same for the birch tree - yes you can chew on the bark). same for sassifrass.

As someone mentioned above, they've used the modern German coat of arms, I'm guessing this is either because they want to actually sell it in Germany (A swastika bottle is probably a quick way to get banned over there), they really, REALLY didn't do the research or the makers are trying to make a really ill advised comment on modern Germany.
Though yay for finding a replacement crystal pepsi, now all we need is to bring the stuff to the UK where we never had it in the first place! I'm curious as to what clear cola tastes like!

And at the end:
"nach dem alten Familienrezept von Kaiser Rollsplitts Gravelsuppe" (it should read: "rollsplitt's")
means "make using the old family recipe of emperor ..."
now, "Rollsplitt" is hard to translate, "splitt" is a sort of rock - it has very small pieces (2-32mm), "rollsplitt" is splitt that's used for making asphalt roads. Not, I'm not an expert on rocks, but gravel translates into "Kies" and "splitt" is very similar to "Kies", so "gravelsoup" is not that far off.
"Made after the old family recipe of emperor rollsplitt's gravel soup."
So I learned something new today: there was an emperor named "Rollsplitt" who had an old family recipe for gravel-soup which can be used to make crystal pepsi.

Birch soda, or as I know it, birch beer, is common here (Pennsylvania) and I guess it's an acquired taste. To me it tastes a bit different from Pepto, but I can definitely see the comparison.
Still, I quite like it. We just got a twelve pack, actually, and in fact, a snack of birch beer and a lebanon bologna sandwich sounds divine right now. =D

- Nazi Germany (Name)
- (Post?) Cold War Germany ("The Wall" is mentioned, modern coat of arms, "Alles klar")
That's about as consistent as a cowboy riding a dinosaur and waving the union jack, while firing a ray gun.

I'm from Germany and that's almost everything I wanted to complain about ... except for that "emperor whatever"-part. I never heard about an emperor called "Rollsplitt" and don't think that there is something like a "Gravelsuppe".
So they just took various prejudices about Germany, threw them together and made a product that's supposed to be funny ... no offense, though! I would like to try it, but the inconsistency is rather annoying.

I really don't see why some of my fellow germans complain about this video. If anything, complain about the makers of this cola drink.
Generally speaking, you need a thick skin in those matters when surfing the web. it's quite hard to find any forum, comment and whatnot on the internet that features the word "Germany" without at least one person bringing up Nazi Germany completely out of context. Oh well....
(Imagine every single time the United States are brought up, people commenting with "Hey, remember how your ancestors killed native americans and kept slaves?". It does get *really* old, *really* fast.)
Best way to deal with it: Just develop the ability to laugh at yourself. All of this is just good-spirited fun, not a political statement. In fact, i found this review to be hilarious.

Clarifying isn't the same as complaining: An American Citizen for example would also call out, when their current flag or coat of arms would be shown in the wrong context (South States e.g.). They would call out even more than the Germans, because our people are generally lacking in patriotism.
Meanwhile I also think, that the drink is a homage or parody to Germany in general. if you look at it like that, it's well made and damn funny

The drink just makes "fun" of Germany universally.
The names is clearly a hint to "nazi", the slogan with the "wall" is hint to the DDR, and the slogan with the Kaiser is a hint to Germany before WW 2.
To be honest it took me a while until I got the Not-see/nazi pun, but that's probably because I'm german..
Well, I don't think the name is too offensiv, Not see still makes sense since it's a clear soda and when I hear not-see I don't hear nazi..
And if you look at the label on the bottle you see the same thing as on any outfit of a german athlete during the Olympic Games.
I don't like Germany but at least Crystal Pepsi came back with the german heraldic animal on it.

Someone above explained the emperor Rollsplitt and Gravelsuppe stuff. It's a wordplay mixed with german and english.
Rollsplitt and gravel (Kies/Schotter) are obviously supposed to be a smart wordplay.

I get the feeling this was meant for Americans only. Ignoring the botching together of three or four periods of German history and symbolism, the name 'Not-See' doesn't make sense unless spoken with an American accent (where the 'o' in Not is closer to an 'a' sound)
Now that crystal pepsi is back, can we work on Tab Clear? I remember loving that drink.

I'm not sure if this drink would take off that well in Germany. Some people over here tend to react quite badly to things that look too "german".
That stuff makes some of us feel at least slightly uncomfortable.
The bottle is still funny though. Stupid as fuck, but funny.

I was in Asian recently (Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand) and I remembered that people sometimes send things to you. I made it a point to visit as many grocery and convenience stores as I could find to get strange (to us) drinks and snacks. How do we send them to you? Is there a PO Box? I looked on your main site and couldn't find anything. I also sent an email to the email address listed there, but haven't gotten a reply. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ism ism ism..., I was afraid to read the comments here. And I was right. Just want to say that a thin skin sometimes leads to stupid reactions or even comparisons too. There is no point in comparing shit of biblical proportions. Both ideologies suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. As a German I still have to say that Nazism is worse than anything. To me it seems that certain people turned communism into that catastrophe it was in the end. I don't like communism, don't get me wrong. Not even as a well meant idea at the start. But Nazism, a disaster right from the get-go, turns people into catastrophes. That's worse in Mein Kampf, oops..., I mean in my book.

Oh god, so excited. I remember when Crystal Pepsi came out and my mother went wild buying case after case of it because we all liked it. And, as is tradition in our family, anything we like must be instantly discontinued. Man we had Crystal Pepsi for ages after it did get discontinued. I can't remember the taste all that clearly anymore but when I can, I'm so getting some of this and reliving it all over again.

I just had Amazon.com notify me by email when they get Not See Kola! Here's a slogan: "Not See Kola-It has ways of making you refreshed!" It has cane sugar! IT HAS CANE SUGAR! Until Pepsi gets with the program and reissues Crystal Pepsi, along with a fresh batch of Pepsi Throwback (LOVE IT!), I'm getting some Not See Kola when I get the chance!

I was wondering if you would ever try Casu Marzu Cheese, just the thought of it makes me want to gag. There's also this drink I tried at Disney once called Beverly that was absolutely gross. I don't know if you could get else where but I would find it interesting if you could find it, I have no idea where to look.

Brad. I just got a twelve pack of this stuff off of Amazon & it arrived yesterday. It... is an interesting soda. I kinda like it, but the reaction of the others who have tried it have varied: my sister HATES the taste, her boyfriend though it was odd but didn't hate it, & my roommate said she likes it.
I was born too late for Crystal Pepsi, so I'll have to take your word that it tastes like the Kola.

I've missed Crystal Pepsi for decades! Hearing that there is a drink out there that tastes like it is insanely awesome! But, my God... it's so expensive!
A 12 pack for $21 (plus shipping)? That's about 5x the price of the usual sodas! Granted, they come in cans.. but still!
Just can't see paying that much. Oh well...

I ordered a case of this back in May and it just arrived today. (Yeah, avoid munchiessweetsandtreats.com - also, one of the bottles was broken in the case.) It DOES taste like Crystal Pepsi. The label says it contains caffeine, though, and CP was caffeine-free, so it's not an exact replica.

I am German and the label says: Von der anderen Seite der Mauer. Wich means: From the other side of the wall. May be a refference to the wall of Berlin but... 2011 it makes not much sense I would say.

Just ordered a 24 pack of Not See Kola today. By the way Brad would you like 15 Crystal Pepsi Tester Glasses? I got a bunch over the summer from a friend who was working at a church with a guy who worked at the Pepsi Company in the 90s. Tryed a Not See Kola when I was in vegas back in December it tasted just like pepsi I also tryed Leninade and loved it.They had brain wash too but I would never drink that even if you payed me
