Great episode! I've been wanting to get into Twin Peaks for a long time now. I wanted to ask: do I need to worry about the existence of different versions of the DVDs for this series, or can I just go ahead and get the "Complete Series" on DVD without worrying about missing anything?

I bought the Definitive Gold Box Edition and it gave me the whole experience perfectly (minus the movie prequel of course.)

Just be sure not to watch the internatinnal version of the Pilot. (The Box-set has both versions of the Pilot.)

Brad, if you haven't heard of it, there's a show called Psych, and they did a special Twin Peaks-esque episode last year which reunites a bunch of the Twin Peaks actors.

The episode is called Dual Spires, and it has Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn( who is still absolutely gorgeous), Ray Wise, Dana Ashbrook, Catherine Coulson, Robin Lively and Lenny von Dohlen playing prominent characters in the episode. The main show mostly isn't that great, but this episode is really awesome and nostalgic, as it feels like an episode of Twin Peaks, but with different characters. I'm sure you can find it somewhere on the Internet.

Can't wait to listen to this. Twin Peaks is my favourite series of all time, I also loved the movie, despite all the backlash it received from fans and critics.

@selloutboy: If you want to see the show in all its intended glory I recommend you get the Twin Peaks Gold box set. It contains the pilot, both seasons and a ton of extras plus the sound and picture are fully remastered by Lynch himself.

Nice, Twin Peaks is great. I've actually never seen Fire Walk With Me, but I'm pretty nervous about it now. Every movie Bowie is in that I've seen [bar Labyrinth] ends in tears or mediocrity.
But I dunno, the first season is perfect, I'm on the side that the second season may have direction, but isn't nearly as good to me. Like Josh said, there was a lot of plot lines that should have been fleshed out more, and a lot of plot lines that I abhor with a passion, primarily the one with Josh and that Evelyn Marsh which just seemed to drone on forever to me.
Anyway cheers for the episode, looking forward to listening to the next one =]

Actually there is a horse in one scene. Well not dancing... but standing just in front of Agt. Coopers Room. And so does the tall man. I don't think the simpsons Joke was about to mean something. Only showing the absurdity of the show.
Oh and besides all that a real entertaining and informative show. But sometimes you`re hard to understand Brad maybe you`re moving too far away from the mic?

David Lynch is hit or miss, like alot of surrealism: when his stuff lines up in some sort of invisible order thats clear to perceptive viewers, its sublime (Eraserhead, Mullholland Dr., parts of Inland Empire) but when he's too hermetically sealed in his own weirdo world you end up with stuff that seems like he's parodying himself (Fire Walk with Me, Wild at Heart, parts of Inland Empire).

I really want to listen to this, as I'm a big Twin Peaks as well as David Lynch fan, but the link appears to be broken.

Oh yeah, trying to find obscure tv shows can be hell. I've been trying to locate a series called Mercy Point for a while. It's a science fiction hospital drama (I first heard of it when compared to Century City), and only eight episodes were made. Supposedly it rips off a 2000AD comic with a similar premise, so that might be part of the reason.
