I'm highly sure watching Mr. Popper's Penguins will be a fun experience for both kids and adults. I'm saying that not just because I'm a huge Jim Carrey fan but because I know that this is the type of movie that actually knows its audience.

For the kids, they'll enjoy it for the humor and the penguins. Look again at films like March of the Penguins and Happy Feet and you'll understand that kind of appeal. Plus, the adults will enjoy it for Jim Carrey and his brand of humor.

That's the kind of film Judy Moody is not and that is finding the right balance for both kids and adults.

I feel so bad for you two. I just watched the trailer and I wanted to friggin' hurl my dinner from earlier all over the place. It looks to about as bad looking as Drop Dead Fred. I didn't know Ryan was married, and to a school teacher to boot. Has his wife ever been in any of Brad's videos? If so, I don't remember seeing her. Ryan and Jerrid did a good review of the film. Keep up the movie reviews, definitely helps me to know what to see and what not to see. I saw X-Men: First Class because of your review and I was not upset that I saw it. Not the best of the X-Men films, but most definitely better than the last two.

I *really* want to see more of Ryan on this site. He's really awesome, analytical and thoughtful. Heck, give him his own show where he rambles for 30min about the downfall of contemporary society each week. I'd watch that!
I have a strange feeling that actually the perfect two people were chosen to review this movie. They gave it a chance and provided some actual insight, even though it was probably unbearable for the most parts. Well done!

I think that Ryan is the director of brads movie Paronia(?) I thought where Jerrid offers more of a "fun review" as a movie watcher, Ryan was giving a more "technical review" as a movie maker. Personally I prefer to watch Jerrid do the review. Trying to mix these two didnt work all that well.

Yes, That is Ryan Mitchelle, director of Paranoia. Glad you guys enjoyed the review. This movie was so sweet and wholesome it gave me cavities. There was a scene in which they said "crap" was a swear. Well, I have a word for this movie...but aparently...it's a swear.

I like the review. Ryan's comment on what you said about the prostitute was wicked funny. I do dissagree with the opinion teenagers or kids as you said can't tell when something is a bad movie. I saw Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It really pissed me off for the same reasons. To many wide, close up, shots and lack of sticking true to the book or a main plot. That's why so many teens go to theese PG-13 movies because some have entertainment value rather than being stuck in the ADHD filled world of PG and G. Movies that are rated R and most people aren't expeting teens and young adults to watch like Hangover,8 Mile, ect. because they don't want the feeling of watchin a movie in which the cameraman was drunk while shooting up heroin. But, anyways I would like to see more Ryan he's friggin hilarious man.
    Signed,

I agree with him on this one as well, it's a film for kids just like all the trash that came out when I was younger. Sure I remember the Lion King basically word for word, but there were plenty of films I wasted time on when I was younger that I remember next to nothing of. It's just how it is and pretty much always has been, nothing really wrong with it.

There are a lot of reviewers on TGWTG that try to include their friends and for the most part (not mentioning any names) they are just painful to watch. Brad I can't think of any of your friends you have had on that have not added to flow and creativity and could easily have their own shows. Jerrid, Jillian, Brian, Sarah, Jake etc. are all great.

Keep up the good work all of you and as a side note, we need more Brad and Jerrid videos.

This was entertaining and also a nice combo. First we have Jerrid the "Average Joe", or the you know regular audience member to tell us if the movie was bad or good, or at least entertaining. Then for the technical side, or a film buffs perspective we have Ryan, and this really did work.

You have the guy who just thinks like, "Well its bad and I didn't enjoy it as much as a good kids movie". Then Ryan adds if it was bad due to editing, or shots where terrible, or any kinda break in the movies pacing. It works kind of the same way a certain pretentious teenagers split personality review show on TGWTG works only 1000 times better.

Also I agree with almost every other post on here. Brad your friends are awesome and I'm glad there comfortable doing these kinds of things for you. Its like one big happy geeky family.

I know you guys keep falling back on the 'it's for kids, what can you expect' line... but here's the thing.

You can make a movie for kids and still have it be good for them, this kind of spastic, flailing ADHD tripe is doing nothing but fueling the expectant, instant gratification generation instead of improving them.. it's an insult to anyone who watches it, ESPECIALLY the kids.

It's nice to see that they all have their own opinions and stick to them while facing sometimes 4 people with different opinions (X-Men ; ) ).
And they all seem to have fun doing those reviews.
Well not with all the movies but even than they seem to have fun hating those movies (Priest for instance).

Ryan looks kind of bored. After seeing that movie? I can't blame him. But that aside, I actually think he brought a lot to the review, and I wouldn't mind seeing him in more things here. And Jerrid is great, like always. Great job, guys. You really took one for the team.

I'd have to agree that Hoodwinked was an awesome movie. Not so much in the execution, but the overall story.
It could've been so much better if a bit more time was spent on fleshing it out though.

    Hey, Brad

can you review Frog Dreaming (AKA The Quest)?

childhood movies, especially ones about Summer (like Judy Moody) should inspire a sense of wonder. I doubt Julie Moody does. Seeing the trailer, I know this to be the case already.
