I never said the video was completely acted, I said that it was hammed up. Yeah, she was pissed at the movie, but she played it up in the video, much how Jerrid played up being defensive about it. That's exactly what I did in the Transformers 3 video. On the way home from the Change Up video we were all laughing about it. It was meant to come off like a Siskel & Ebert type of review.

This was a great retort to the Chang-Up review but too many cuts made it not as realistic as the last one. who broke character more?
Biggest difference this time is if Jerrid started to reach over and attack you I wouldn't have felt anything.

I understand that this review was a joke, BUT THIS MOVIE REALLY SUCKED DICK. WHY THE FUCK DID RAPTOR JESUS SHOW UP 30 MINUTES IN? I shit you not, RAPTOR FUCKING JESUS shows up out of nowhere in dinosaur times. I wish i was kidding. There was like 6 fake endings. The entire movie dragged like a dogs ass on a carpet. Slow and left a trail of shit behind it. And the worst part is I know there was a good movie in there somewhere. If they had just just shaved at least an hour out of the movie it would have been watchable, especially the part with the family would have made a good movie. but i guess the editor must have been editing together an episode of NOVA and accidentally pasted clips into this movie and Malick liked it so much he kept it in. And I'm a fan of his other work. I liked thin red line and days of heaven. But this was an overindulgent piece of shit. I saw it a week ago and I'm still pissed off about how bad it was. The fucking narrator talked in whispery poems the entire movie. There is artsy movie, and then there is self indulgent bullshit, and that's what this movie was. I was excited for this movie. The trailer was really cool. But the movie sucked.

I have no idea if you actually saw this movie or not, but either way, it IS an excellent movie, at least in the middle. I actually agree with people who say that the stuff with the creation of the universe and the ending were pointless and detracted from it, but the part of the movie with the family were absolutely incredible, probably some of the most perfect filmmaking that I've ever seen, like silent film on crack. Terrence Malick is going to be looked on as one of the greatest directors of the first century of cinema in hundreds of years, and I truly believe that with all of my heart. If you truly did find the movie boring and uninteresting, I'm sorry; I found it absolutely fascinating and could have long arguments about the thematic and character depth, at least re: the middle portion of the movie with Sean Penn's childhood.

Ryan, it IS worth seeing. There are parts of it that are pretentious wankery, but the parts that are a flashback to Sean Penn's childhood are absolutely unbelievable filmmaking. It's not as good as other Malick movies (I'd probably put The Thin Red Line in my top ten of all time), but the parts that ARE good are probably some of the best work that he's ever done.

I try not to be pretentious but...I thought The Tree of Life was one of the most beautiful, touching films I've ever seen, so there. It delved into the quality of life through imagery I understood while stimulating me intellectually as well as emotionally. Of all my friends and relatives I've yet to meet one whose seen it and not fallen in love with it- but I guess that's how it is when all your friends can ramble for hours about Kubrick's 2001.

I didn't expect this review to be fake. (I've never seen the show before.) I've seen the film, which is now one of my favourites, and this review made me laugh. I guess it's a satire of two friends who've seen the film and talk about it with much different opinions. I have to wonder if these guys have actually seen the film and what they really think of it.

I think we just got trolled... by the guy running the web-site. This very nearly achieves Andy Kaufman levels of both humor and dickery, kudos. I feel a bit beaten over the head by this whole "incident" though. If this whole thing is something Brad, Jillian and Jerrid can laugh about that's great, but I really hope nobody's harboring any secret resentments.
P.S. The strange seductive powers of Brad's voice must be able to travel about to other parts of his body. I have no explanation as to how Jillian lets him "into bed" at night otherwise.
