Very interesting. Shooting down a German fighter plane with a Tommy Gun alone is enough awesomeness to make this movie good. Obviously the war was not over when the movie was made, so that ending is understandable.

I like the idea of the Snob reviewing old-time golden-age films that many of us probably don't know about. I'm sure he can do films from both the 30s, the 40s, and the 50s. Maybe do serials, cartoons, or short films too. The possibilities are enormous!

You know, the scene where Hitler gets shaved, without the visual of the razor and the shaving cream, pretty much sounds beat for beat like a rape scene. Considering the usual stuff you do here, I wouldn't have been surprised if it actually was.

I loved this review. Actually, if you could, it would be fun if you could do a review of a small film in 1951 called "I Was An American Spy". Sure, it's not very exploitative but it is a rare gem among WWII films all the same with Ann Dvorak in the leading role. It's an American spy flick based on a true story. Sure it was on TCM but that wouldn't stop you, would it Brad?

A movie which the Cinema Snob ACTUALLY LIKED... that was cool. I actually love when these critics like a movie, just as much as when they bitch about movies.

This movie actually looked quite cool. And it was a review of a unusual movie for the cinema snob (not being a slasher-film).

So all in all a very good video. And the movie looked cool too.

But personally i think they should make a sequal to this. In which Zombie ALIENS comes to the aid of the nazies at the brink of the third reich destruction. All dead NAZI soldiers will become ZOMBIES. All living nazi soldiers will become SUPER MUTANTS. And hitler will become a mecha-super mutant (just like with shredder in turtles 2). The third reich rizes from the ashes, and only the flu kills of the alien-nazi-zombies.... or a better thing. But i have always wanted to see aliens, nazies and zombies combine forces against humanity, that could be such a cool movie. Sorry for the rant.

The way this movie does a 180 in tone reminds me of an SCTV sketch where John Candy playing Tom Bosley talks about a cheesy movie from the 1940s that takes place in a courtroom, then someone comes in and announces that Pearl Harbor has been attacked, and the characters stop what was going on to say they're going to join the Army and sing a patriotic song in front of the American flag.

I guess it was a common thing for movies to do at the time.

I love this review! Your funniest in a while. "Ward Bond just called Hitler ‘toots’!”

I was a little worried as I was eating dinner while watching this and didn’t want another “eyeball fellatio” moment. Then again, it’s Hitler: Dead or Alive, not Hitler: Blood and Guts. Then again, that might make a good exploitation movie.

Concorde: Airport ’79 totally ripped off the “airplane gun battle” scene from this movie. Only it was a lot stupider when they did it.

Of all the episodes, I think this ones the most charming in that old-timesy way.

As for your comment 'Are you trying to tell me the Nazis are evil?'; at the time (1942) Hitler had been in power and at war for years. Changing the publics opinion on him would've required propaganda like this; he didn't win Time Magazine man of the year for nothing, he was highly thought of in the 1930s despite his tyranny.
