I don't like Aziz Ansari, so I don't think I'll be seeing 30 Minutes or Less. I only like him on Parks and Recreation, and that's because he's there in 2-3 minute bursts. A little of him goes a long way with me. I couldn't handle a full movie of him.

I'm personally looking forward to both the Fright Night remake and Conan the Barbarian, and for those of you thinking it's rated PG-13, check out the red band trailer on Youtube, it's awesome. The movie will certainly be better than Transformers 3, which by the way Brad, I agree with you 100% on, worst movie of the year so far by a mile.

Friday the 13th has a simpler pot - guy in the woods kills people.

The first one works, it's sheer terror.

The second one, yeah you kinda had to jump the shark a bit to get kids back into the camp. Plus the weird twist that Jason's mom has.

The third one - Jesus Christ, what is it with this damn camp? Why do kids want to stay here after they hear of others getting butchered? At that point you may as well do what Film Brain and Welshy do, stop referring to the teenage campers by name. call them Dead Meat #1, Dead Meat #2, and so on.

Oh yeah, there's the 3-D angle and a kid gets hassled by his peers for having a condom in a velcro wallet.

Friday the 13th 4 to before Jason X, the producers said, "why waste writing out a plot? let's just turn it into a big human sausage factory"

Jason X - MAJOR Shark Jump! It's such a shark jump, even the shark is jumping another shark!

Freddy vs. Jason - Works out in a weird way and where the formula is later copied in AVP of the Predator working with the humans, Jason helps save his machete fodder from Freddy and at the same time pulls a Spock from Wrath of Khan and commits an act of self-sacrifice.

I guess that also references Terminator 2 - Judgment Day, now that I think about it.

I've been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, and I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. Having AS basically means you're an extremely meticulous person, kind of like obsessive-compulsive disorder. It's not a form of autism; it's on the same spectrum autism is on (it's on the opposite end). Having autism means you're mentally retarded. Perhaps it's debilitating in regards to my social life, but then, I really don't care because I'm also a misanthrope. And no, I can't talk to girls, but I prefer "The Hand" anyways, because it always knows exactly what I need. It understands me. And girls are evil, anyways, and smelly. I'd also say about 80% of people on this board claiming to have AS are self-diagnosed, and are basically just nerds who play too much XBox. It's quite rare. I was diagnosed by two psychiatrists and have a certificate saying so.

While Friday the 13th IS a formulaic series, it's still so much better than the Final Destination series that it's not even fair to compare the two.

Like Brad says, every FD movie is literally the same movie. Main character has horrifying vision. Main character intervenes to prevent disaster. Cast gets sequentially killed in cartoonish ways. Main character and love interest are the only two to survive and seemingly beat Death for good, but SURPRISE: they don't. It really is one of the most aggravating franchises ever.

The Friday the 13th movies AT LEAST try to change settings, and even swap the primary villain at times. Each movie is a different story with recurring themes. Yeah, all but the original can summarized as "Jason kills teenagers," but that's if you make a VERY brief summary. That's a far cry from Final Destination, where the plot is always exactly the same from beginning to end no matter how detailed you get.

I think Asperger's is this decade's ADHD, something that kids are being over diagnosed with. I mean just look at the number of Aspies this comments section brought out alone. At least, unlike ADHD, they can't just peddle a bunch of pills in response to it, though.

Personally, I think, we'll eventually come to the conclusion that all of these "disorders" are really just natural variations in how peoples' brains develop. People with ADHD or Asperger's or other "disorders" aren't really abnormal, but are just wired differently, and we as society will just have to adapt to that.

I just disagree with you Brad, I think the films don't need major changes; something "different" doesn't mean change the entire dynamic. They add in some new things in each film. I went to the film expecting the same movie. I thought the plot had better depth than the original even. I also felt the effects in this film were much better than the previous installments as well, not just the 3D compared to FD4 but also the great uses of traditional effects compared to CGI. I wouldn't have been surprised to see Yagher's name pop up in the credits (wasn't him though, he's working on Bones still). I mean, what would you consider different enough but not breaking of the established rules? Because frankly, I point out the examples you gave of Friday the 13th RUINED the series. Jason is an alien iguana? He goes to New York for fifteen minutes? The fact this film was a *spoiler ending fact here* was a pretty nice twist, and critically it seems the way of escaping death was brought up before and just misunderstood in part 2. It seems to me the Final Destination series is a fan series, but has ample opportunity to bring in non fans into it's fold. If people would stop looking at it like a slasher film and take it at face value I think they could see where I'm coming from when I write this. For many of us, the death scenes (although inventive) are a secondary thing behind the rules. I like the fact this film has rules and it's fun to see people question and attempt to break them, trying to find loopholes, and keeping a lot of things in the dark opens up the films for a lot more development in the future. Do I think there will be a six and seventh film, like they were talking about on Bloody Disgusting? Yes, and I certainly hope there will be. It'll be nice for them to eventually explain what Bludworth meant by some of comments. Allow me to digress though to my original point, if they were to do anything different with these films like you're talking about it would ruin the dynamic of the films in my opinion. Keep it simple, and make small waves rather than huge splashes.

    Minor spoiler alert:

While I still have about 900 characters left to my post I'd like to also point three major things: 1. The chronology of Bludworth's character, the three accidents he was questioned about, and their importance in the timeline. 2. The fact Bludworth tried to explain the kill or be killed aspect before in part two, but was misconstrued by the characters. 3. What Bludworth said about how come he knows so much about what he's talking about. How do you know a sequel won't explain that? Maybe... he's a survior and not Death? Explains why he suddenly disappears at one point, why he knows so much, and why he has "seen" this before and why he knows the kill or be killed thing works; the Groundhog Day effect, he knows everything because he's been through it before. If they did a movie on that, would that be different enough to satisfy you, Brad? Just some food for thought.

Oh Jerrid... We love you, buddy.

According to IMDb Jane Lynch was in the movie but her scenes were deleted.

I'm not officially diagnosed, but I am on a waiting list, and I know enough about Asperger Syndrome to practically diagnose myself with it.
That said, I think Jerrid has worse social skills than I have in some ways.
"Ass burgers" is a very common mishearing (so much so that it became the title of a love song by MC Frontalot), and it's unfortunate that the German surname Asperger sounds so much like ass burger when americanized. In its original German pronounciation, it doesn't sound at all like ass burger, but pronounciations of names tend to shift between languages.
I'm not offended. I'm more amused by how Jerrid just keeps digging himself deeper into the hole of tactlessness by trying to explain himself. It's kind of adorable.

I was slightly offended by Jerrid's comment, at first, because of how it came across. (Yes, I am another person with Asperger's Syndrome, diagnosed at 6 years old.) And even as Jerrid continued to laugh, just because "Haha, it sounds like 'ass burgers'" I continued to feel offended. But that's only because I used to be taunted with that mispronunciation, by people who intentionally knew what they were doing.

However, I can see where poor Jerrid is coming from. Any accent that has softens the "P" to a "B" sound, like how "T" can become "D" ("we godda get ouda here!"), makes it sound like "Ass burgers", so it's a natural mistake, to think somebody said it, because they ARE saying it wrong. It'd be like laughing because someone saying "Parkinson's" said it with an accent so it came out as "Barking son's" or something. At which point, it's their fault for not enunciating or pronouncing it right.

My advice is just add the German accent to the "sp" so it sounds like "Ashpergers". Or if you're gonna be pronouncing it in a more Anglicized way, say "Asperjers". That way, people like Jerrid who hear it for the first time won't end up hearing it wrong.

tldr: I was offended at first, but I got a sense of humour about it, after thinking about how Jerrid would have come about that mistake. All is forgiven, yay, funny review continues.

My jaw dropped when I heard Brian and Jerrid mention about the kid in the wheelchair not actually being disabled. I have never seen an episode of Glee, so I may be taking this out of context, but I felt offended because it seems the casting people were unable to find someone that was genuinely disabled to play the part. It also makes it feel like he was there to fill that niche as the token disabled kid. I apologise if I have offended any Glee fans or have taken this out of context but I feel that if you are unwilling to or can't find a disabled actor to play the role of a disabled person, do not have a disabled character in your show xoxo

I seriously cracked up at Jerrid's comment, and I DO wish that the syndrome was named after someone with a less hilarious surname. People are so touchy. ;P

People get this offended by someone saying Ass burgers with no harm meant?

I have a severe stuttering problem and it's not like I feel ridiculed every time someone tries to immitate stuttering. If it's not meant as an insult towards me, why should I feel bad?

Really, just watch 1000 ways to die on spike tv for deaths. That show is 30 mins long and its FREE. Really I saw the previews for FD5 and all I could think of is 1000 ways >< it has 5 seasons out already so yea FD is not needed anymore for that BS long winded deaths. But then again I did not like any FD I watched.
