I've only seen Guts Of A Virgin, but some of the scenes in this look very familiar. Did they re-use scenes from Entrails?

Hehe, I really hope you snob part 2 and 3... In my own opinion, this series just gets wackier (and more entertaining) for each sequel. I remember laughing to part three at least as much as I did to Blood Sucking Freaks, so that one should be pretty snobable. Love the show!

If this wasn't about ego, then why complain at all? Either that or your trying to get more viewers for your own reviews. And I watched your review for this movie and to be truthful I'd whether watch Entrails of a Virgin than your review again. As far as Brad being on a pedestal, I too have been watching his reviews since the youtube days and I've never once thought he acted like a big shot since he's gotten his own site. But he doesn't need to me to defend him, as his own actions and videos prove otherwise to the bile you're spewing.

Okay I think certain Brad fans need to slow down and take their chill pills.
First, this is The Cinema Snob website, and Brad can put whatever he damn well wants to. I think his videos are quite good, and in the cases of his midnight screenings, I find them helpful in determining if I want to see a movie.
So far, my best movie this summer is Planet of the Apes. I think it ties the series beautiful. And the bargain I got when I saw Planet of the Apes was Captain America at the drive-in movie theater.
Brad, are there any good drive-ins close to you?
Or better still, do you have a decent enough video projector to where you can set up your own?

Solid review Brad. You are right, there are definitely worse J-horror movies. If you want to see a truly insane Japanese horror film, check out House. It's in the Criterion Collection, and is entertaining as hell.

QYourFaceX, huh? Well, you seem like a classic example of "Small Name, Big Ego". I'm not saying that you shouldn't do reviews, as your production values (how little internet reviewing has in terms of that, but whatever) already are much better than some of the stuff on YouTube. But if you really want more views and fans, you did it in perhaps the most unprofessional way possible. I do expect a small surge, but nothing really all that great.
Your impersonation of the Cinema Snob character is also pretty bad, as his cursing is not nearly as frequent as that (which was more AVGN and ripoffs than anything). If anything, you cursed just as much in that video. Hypocrisy, what's that?
I'd go on dissecting the video, but I'd be wasting my time. Bottom line, there is no statute of limitations that, once a movie is reviewed, no one else can review it, regardless of how long it had been. If you want to get popular, yelling at someone isn't going to get you far.

Well... I have to admit, while I don't really think Brad was on a mission to screw you over...I have to admit, I watched a couple of your vids, and I do like the energy you bring to them, so good luck to you.

Never met him in person but the dude seems humble about all this and likes to meet his fans at cons and such.

Brad probably gets over 200 emails a day that he has to constantly sort through. If Q is acting like SUCH a little butthurt drama llama, maybe he should consider not doing a review site.
Besides, half of the fun of the reviews is seeing what other people's takes on the movie are.
Example:
Brad - "I liked Planet of the Apes"
Jake - "Shoot the fucking monkeys!"
See there? That's a real review. I remember some classic Siskel & Ebert's that looked like they were gonna start throwing fists at each other because one person liked the movie and the other thought it was garbage.
Jerrid and Jillian - THAT was a good review of "The Change Up" - and Jillian called it right on, "a tired remake of your typical swap personalities". My god, even the classic Star Trek used that gag as it's final episode and even thew in the twist of Kirk becoming a woman.
Wow... you almost kinda have to wonder what the writer of that episode was feeling. In their writing heart, they WANTED Kirk to become a woman. Anyone want to add other Freudian analysis to that?
So getting back to the subject, "Entrails of a Virgin"... there may have been a lot more to that film that the censors decided couldn't be shown. You did say it's about 65 minutes.
What's ironic is that the worst episode of Manimal (*rwawr!*) could easily defeat Entrails of a Virgin in terms of plot, characters (especially handy when they have NAMES!) and setting.

I'm not sure if you've reviewed this, because I seem unable to find the search box on the front page, but if you "liked" this one, try out Tetsuo: The Iron Man, another weird Japanese horror movie made in the 80's. Apparently it's got two sequels but they aren't on Netflix so I can't say anything about them.

Basically some sort of crazy metal fetishist is shoving rusty metal junk into his own open wounds, then gets killed by the... protagonist? Yeah let's go with that. So yeah, he's driving along with his girlfriend and kills the metal freak with his car. Now the normal response would be to call whatever emergency number Japan has. The sociopathic response would be to DRAG THE INJURED MAN INTO THE BACKSEAT and drive aimlessly. Guess which one this movie picked? So they end up dumping the metallic pervert into a field and... wait, what? Yeah, so just when you think they did that to cover up their crime, they start having sex right in the field. The girlfriend notices the dying man they just dumped is watching them and that fact seems to get her hot. What is it with all these crazy girlfriends and their death obsessions?
That eventually leads to some sort of metal fetishist gypsy curse and the main character starts having random metal bits appear on his body, ending in The Iron Man, if Tony Stark was also the Toxic Avenger. Oh yes, the whole movie plays like a metal music video. Fitting, I suppose. One bizarre unexplained old man fight later, they merge and decide to turn the whole world to metal.
I'm not familiar with the sort of thing I just saw...

i did watch that video actually. & i don't think Brad copied anything from him. i had honestly never heard of him either. i don't think Brad copied anything from this guy.
their reviews may be a bit alike. i dunno i have no desire to watch it. but that to me just means that they both pointed out what's wrong with this film.
& like someone said about "NC" doing his review of "The Wizard' & AVGN also did the same one.
i really don't think he was truly pissed about that. it was just funny that it ended up that way. which i think is what their intention was.
i still don't get why all the hatred from this guy for brad is. to me from watching his videos. he seems like a pretty laid back kind of guy. who can have a warped sense of humor as anyone here does.

lol, a month or two ago a friend lent me this one and a film called "Entrails of a Beautiful Woman"(I think). "EOABW" has some better production values and actually has attempts at characterization. It has decent acting and music, but it also has one awful moment where a woman falls off a building, but because they cant afford a dummy, they just throw a watermelon down...and you see it hit the ground...
I was supposed to review both of them, but couldnt think of anything to say. You nailed it with the end result.

Okay... I watched both reviews now and I don't really understand why "Q your face X" (sorry, won't call you Q) is trying to start a fight with Brad.
I'm also aware that I'm kinda late commenting on this, um, "situation".
By watching both reviews I now know a bit more about the movie. That's usually a good thing, but I have to admit I like the Snob's reviews a lot better in general. They fit my taste the best.
Q your face X, I don't know what you're arguing about. Different people often get an idea that's similar. And that's the point. Similar, 'cause those reviews differ a lot. Sure, there's a lot of sequences appearing in both reviews. Well, it's the same movie, right?
The main difference, in my opinion, is that Brad plays it a little more like Hitchcock, where you probably show a bit too much.
It's okay having your own style. I wouldn't want to watch a Cinema Snob clone.
And you're confusing something. Doug Walker and James Rolfe never hated each other. It was a build-up for making a crossover. What you are doing is plain trolling. If you really were that superior, you'd not act like a wild animal because someone made something you also did.
By the way, there always will be someone who did something before someone else did.
And do you really believe Brad is just waiting for you to send an email without even knowing about you? Man, he has a life too! Doing reviews is work, you will know that. Imagine how many emails he probably gets every day. He most likely doesn't have enough time to read all of them the same day they come in.

Not sure what point you're trying to make, but I believe you're complaining about the fact that the Cinema Snob almost never realises how most of those movies don't take themselves seriously and often have satirical elements. This is actually one of the key sources of humour in the character, as inspired by Roger Ebert's review of Friday the 13th 4. I find it hard to believe that you watched about 20 of these reviews and never realised this.

Don't know if this has been suggested, but on the topic of disturbing Japanese horror films, have you heard of the Guinea Pig movie series? Specifically the one in particular is the second of the seven films entitled Guinea Pig 2: Flowers of Flesh and Blood.
According to Wikipedia: "After viewing a part of this film, actor Charlie Sheen was convinced the murder depicted was genuine and contacted the MPAA, who then contacted the FBI. FBI agent Dan Codling informed them that the FBI and the Japanese authorities were already investigating the film makers, who were repeatedly interviewed by the Japanese police and eventually summoned to court to prove that the special effects were indeed fake."
So... yeah. Never seen the film, but going by the summary on Wiki, I'd say this film makes Hardgore look like sunshine and lollipops. Oh, and I call fourth for a snobbing of Hausu/ House (after all, it *is* part of the Criterion Collection like Salo, so therefore the Snob HAS to like it!), as well as seconding Tetsuo: Iron Man.
