80's Dan is a mixture of sitcom, discussion, and "review" show. It's about a guy from the 80s and his robot who lives with people who don't like the 80's. The opening credits, and even some lines in the show (plus The Snob's Caligula episode and Brad Tries New Coke) explain Dan's origins. That aspect is covered in the show the same way actual 80's series covered stuff like that: in the opening credits. And I'm not going to give away Dan's entire origin story within the first 4 episodes. There will be plenty of episodes in the future that are plotbased with the character, and not them specifically talking about something from the 80s. Also flashbacks will be used.
He doesn't have a mullet because I hate mullets and not everyone in the 80s had a mullet. He's more the type who would have a flock of seagulls haircut before a mullet. No character on my site will ever ever have a mullet. Reply to this

Film Brain found the trailer for the film, and sent it to Brad and Lupa. Brad, being the industrious masochist he is, found the entire thing up on youtube.
Later that day, Film Brain and Diamonda Hagan watched it on Film Brain's livestream.

I'm sorry, but I'm honestly kind of disappointed in the 80's Dan show. It's just another review show. I assumed it would be a sci-fi show, since Dan is a character who has the ability to phase through dimensions and time periods. Why is that aspect never covered in the show? Also, if he's from the 80's, why doesn't he have a mullet? I mean, really.

Does '80s Dan look like a martial artist to you?
Not every man wore a mullet in the 1980s. Some had awesome perms like David Hasselhoff. Others, like Dirk Benedict, had the neatly combed dry look.

Jerrid needs a mullet.
Or a 10-90. Bald, with a ponytail in the back.

I'd really love to see 80's Dan a lot more. I find it genuinely funny, especially the corny 80's sitcom humor. Looking forward to the next one.

I was actually thinking to myself last night that it had been a while since we had a new 80's Dan video...

I am so damn curious now. About this movie, not sexually. John Candy AND Bobcat Goldthwaite? How could this movie ever be bad?!
I knew somebody had to crack up during the "Ghost That Should Be Busted" line

I've been looking all over for School Spirit on DVD. I guess it'll never make the transition over. Haven't seen t in nearly 20 years.

I'm really digging Dan's hammerspace jacket. If there's a copy of "Raiders" for the 2600 there, then I'm sure there must be another game for the 2600... based on a Spielberg movie... that was made by the guy who did the Raider's game... Right?

That was so funny when... when... uh.. Damn it, all this talk about My Little Pony in the comments has made me forget the video. It just set my mind back to my disgruntled, misanthropic, internet-hating persona.
Oh well, easy come easy go.

Not even one Mr. Ed joke? I'm impressed.
Also....is it just me or does that Rock and Roll Cowboy movie seem like something more for Space Lancer Steve (I think that was the name) to review?

Serious question here. Are Dolly and Dan boning? And does Dan bitch about her not having a nasty 80's bush?

I love, love, luuuuuurrrrve 80's Dan! This episode was top shelf, old boy!
Oh, and that big bag of booger sugar he pulls out at the end explains his constant upbeat attitude...

Haha, the last cocaine joke is probably the funniest punchline punchline in these 80s Dan episodes so far.

Rock and Roll cowboys eh? Is that a prequel to Rock and Roll Martian?

Fluttershy is best pony.

This episode was fantastic Brad! I was laughing and enjoying myself the whole way through and I do hope the internet sees more of 80's Dan and friends. This is a really good series.

80s Dan, for a guy from the 80s you sure let Brian off easy for that! XD

I often question imagine if out of the blue online world vanishes from our daily life. What may happen. Will life be very much like it is? Cant imagine it mate the online world is within our viens now just as blood and it is impossible to survive without it.
