Every one needs a creepy midget in their posse, but he shouldn't be the main character.
For some reason when the old woman's tit was shown it just reminded me of another show you need to Snob so bad, Slammer Girls. Just because it has a woman in it that looks like every cafeteeria lady or fat nursing home nurse you've ever seen and she get's naked at one point.

the thing is though your not being politically correct, your sub mentally viewing them as people who need defending when 1, they do these movies voluntarily they dont have to do the roles they do, also on mini-me he was infantile but that was the character he played. i guess you never saw tipping toes or any movie with peter dinklage. i've seen a movie were a white man played giant brutish idiot. i've also seen movies were skinny people were treated as bad things (okay just one movie) and i've seen movies were white people as a whole were the bad guys, and another that was the opposite, then i saw a movie that talked about these issues in a mature and thought provoking way.
also racial humor can be bad if done wrong, but a great tool for removing tension and creating stronger bonds IE the greg giraldo segment of the roast of flavor flav, he made racial comments but the african american members in the audience and on stage were laughing.
political correctness is good in doses but if your extremist about it noone will join you and you will seem more ignorant then open minded. i have freinds of many colors and religions and we make fun of each others race in a soft light manner and neither of us get offended or up in arms about it. i dont mind humor towards the my Hispanic heritage cause its a joke nothing to get offended about.
and again on the film, its an exploitation horror film that decided to use a little person (since you assumed a term like midget while acceptable like black as a slur) instead of an average height male to set it apart and to use torben since he already was a fairly large star in denmark being the host of a children's show and being in several films for adults. he 100% decided to do the movie himself he wasnt forced to. he and his wife were both in it. and the guy wasnt treated subhuman he was treated like a deranged psychopath which he was but just a bit different.
and again on mini me he was a clone gone wrong and he did grow to be a bigger character in later austin powers films. but i guess you were to busy being offended by the fact they used a little person to play the role of a clone. but i guess we see movies differently, when you saw mini me doing something funny you were shocked by the fact it was a little person doing these absurd acts and i saw it as what it was just plain stupid humor an actor decided to do.
noone is pc phobic here just pc extremist phobic who decided to take an exploitation movie and review at face value. Reply to this

Matt Seeger wrote:
"they dont have to do the roles they do" They play the roles because that's all anyone ever writes for them. I'm not faulting the actor for choosing the role. I'm saying that the writers and directors should be writing more dignified roles for little people.
"i've seen a movie were a white man played giant brutish idiot. i've also seen movies were skinny people were treated as bad things" White people and skinny people are part of a preferred social majority. They can stand to take a few hits to the chins because at the end of the day, most people are not going to claim that white people and skinny people are freaks of nature or subhuman. I'm talking about dehumanization that actually has social impact.
"he was infantile but that was the character he played." Weak defense, and that's not what I meant by "character." Yeah, that was the character he was given. Why couldn't he been given a speaking role? Something dignified? Your defense is, "well, they should be grateful for what they DO get." Replace "little people" with "Africans" and use that same defense.
I don't buy it.
" but if your extremist about it" But that's it, dude, I'm not being extreme about it. You're being incredibly apathetic. You don't care about the subject, but instead of saying that, you play the PC card.
" you will seem more ignorant then open minded." Except I'm not ignorant. The fact that I'm willing to look at this topic at all, rather than ignoring it like you're ding, proves I'm being open-minded and you're not.
What you're saying is the exact opposite of what is happening.
"instead of an average height male" It all comes down to who is ostracized in our society and who isn't. Average-sized people are not ridiculed for their size. They are not dehumanized for being average.
"he 100% decided to do the movie himself he wasnt forced to."
Back in the early part of the 1900's, African American actors were only able to perform on stage in what was called Blackface. It was humiliating and dehumanizing, meant to reinforce the cultural acceptability of racial discrimination.
Those were literally the only reasonable, paying roles available to black people at the time.
They were adults, too, but it's not that simple.
There are few truly dignified roles for little people in film. It's either that or you go hungry. Some choice.
"but i guess you were to busy being offended by the fact they used a little person to play the role of a clone." And I guess you were too thick and selfish to think about it from Vince's perspective, or anyone else's but your own. You labor under the delusion that Vince had much of a choice at all in the characters he played.
I guess seeing things from a cultural, or an empathetic point of view makes me an extremist in this society. I'd rather be that then be just another lazy, selfish asshole. Reply to this

Torben Bille (the actor from this film) was actually a children's entertainer before this film. So he played a villain. You know else play villains in movies? Tall people. Ethic people. White people. Every kind of actor plays villains.

That's why they call it an exploitation film. And maybe don't come to this site if you want PC humor.

Oh no, I've brought the dreaded blight of political correctness onto this site. How thoughtless of me.
I fucking love political correctness. Bathe in that stuff, man. Rub it all over my skin, pour it in my cereal. Honestly, it's not deadly at all... to me.
I appreciate that it's an exploitation film. I would have thought Brad would have the tact not to join in with the exploitation.
Plus, I really do hate movies where little people are treated subhuman. I'm sorry, am I triggering your PC phobia by bringing that up?
WHAT CAUSES A MAN TO TURN TO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS? A LUST FOR GOLD? POWER? OR ARE THEY JUST BORN WITH A HEART FILLED WITH POLITICAL CORRECTNESS-NESS?

the thing is though your not being politically correct, your sub mentally viewing them as people who need defending when 1, they do these movies voluntarily they dont have to do the roles they do, also on mini-me he was infantile but that was the character he played. i guess you never saw tipping toes or any movie with peter dinklage. i've seen a movie were a white man played giant brutish idiot. i've also seen movies were skinny people were treated as bad things (okay just one movie) and i've seen movies were white people as a whole were the bad guys, and another that was the opposite, then i saw a movie that talked about these issues in a mature and thought provoking way.
also racial humor can be bad if done wrong, but a great tool for removing tension and creating stronger bonds IE the greg giraldo segment of the roast of flavor flav, he made racial comments but the african american members in the audience and on stage were laughing.
political correctness is good in doses but if your extremist about it noone will join you and you will seem more ignorant then open minded. i have freinds of many colors and religions and we make fun of each others race in a soft light manner and neither of us get offended or up in arms about it. i dont mind humor towards the my Hispanic heritage cause its a joke nothing to get offended about.
and again on the film, its an exploitation horror film that decided to use a little person (since you assumed a term like midget while acceptable like black as a slur) instead of an average height male to set it apart and to use torben since he already was a fairly large star in denmark being the host of a children's show and being in several films for adults. he 100% decided to do the movie himself he wasnt forced to. he and his wife were both in it. and the guy wasnt treated subhuman he was treated like a deranged psychopath which he was but just a bit different.
and again on mini me he was a clone gone wrong and he did grow to be a bigger character in later austin powers films. but i guess you were to busy being offended by the fact they used a little person to play the role of a clone. but i guess we see movies differently, when you saw mini me doing something funny you were shocked by the fact it was a little person doing these absurd acts and i saw it as what it was just plain stupid humor an actor decided to do.
noone is pc phobic here just pc extremist phobic who decided to take an exploitation movie and review at face value.

"they dont have to do the roles they do"
They play the roles because that's all anyone ever writes for them. I'm not faulting the actor for choosing the role. I'm saying that the writers and directors should be writing more dignified roles for little people.
"i've seen a movie were a white man played giant brutish idiot. i've also seen movies were skinny people were treated as bad things"
White people and skinny people are part of a preferred social majority. They can stand to take a few hits to the chins because at the end of the day, most people are not going to claim that white people and skinny people are freaks of nature or subhuman.
I'm talking about dehumanization that actually has social impact.
"he was infantile but that was the character he played."
Weak defense, and that's not what I meant by "character." Yeah, that was the character he was given. Why couldn't he been given a speaking role? Something dignified? Your defense is, "well, they should be grateful for what they DO get." Replace "little people" with "Africans" and use that same defense.
I don't buy it.
" but if your extremist about it"
But that's it, dude, I'm not being extreme about it. You're being incredibly apathetic. You don't care about the subject, but instead of saying that, you play the PC card.
" you will seem more ignorant then open minded."
Except I'm not ignorant. The fact that I'm willing to look at this topic at all, rather than ignoring it like you're ding, proves I'm being open-minded and you're not.
What you're saying is the exact opposite of what is happening.
"instead of an average height male"
It all comes down to who is ostracized in our society and who isn't.
"but i guess you were to busy being offended by the fact they used a little person to play the role of a clone."
And I guess you were too thick and selfish to think about it from Vince's perspective, or anyone else's but your own. You labor under the delusion that Vince had much of a choice at all in the characters he played.
I guess seeing things from a cultural, or an empathetic point of view makes me an extremist in this society. I'd rather be that then be just another lazy, selfish asshole.

Come on guys, he makes a great point. This is the very first time I've ever made fun of an actor in one of these videos.

How dare the director of this movie give a little person a job! Doesn't he know how easy it is to find careers in all fields for people that size?

thinking like people are being exploited in films like this is just not correct. They get paid a lot of money and they are highly respected in their chosen fields for doing what they do.
The guy in this movie was a celebrity because of this not a prop!

Hehe, nice to see you do some Scandinavian exploitation. This is one of the films that everyone around here have heard of, but not many have seen. I remember hearing the title of this movie way back in grade school days, and it's a title that is kinda hard to forget. Only watched it recently though, and I'm glad to hear you reference Bloodsucking Freaks through the review... because I was sure as hell reminded of it watching this. Kind of a light version of Bloodsucking Freaks with a groovier soundtrack and artsy cinematography. The opening looks like something out of an Argento movie! And well... the dialogue is what it is. Not as awful and funny as the Swedish-English in Breaking Point though!

The Real Quote: BEST thing I can say about this film is the PLOT is easily the most screwed up thing involving a dwarf I've EVER seen."

Was that a Red Dwarf reference at the six-minute mark!? (sucking out brains with a straw)

No, it was a 'Bloodsucking Freaks' reference. Though good on you for recognising the parallel.
When I read this title my mind immediately added 'Of Saint Valentine' to the end. That'd be a cult classic, mixing nun/dwarfsploitation

I'm surprised you didn't make any Tattoo or Troll 2/Ator references! This movie was begging for them! Maybe even a crack about the Napoleon from Daring Dragoon!

I know you're not the one to blame, but it's tedious to not be able to watch your episodes on 3.1 Moto Xoom. Blip.tv is perhaps the problem, it seems to be the only service which doesn't work (atleast for me). I would welcome the possibility to watch your show on mobile environment.
