Brad, what did you think about a movie like The Expendables? It appears to have been an attempt to bring back '80s-style action, but it wasn't like that for me. I thought it was dull and kind of stupid, and not a good stupid like the movie Commando. The muted colors in the movie didn't help either. It's like someone took a perfectly good color film and took out every color except for the color blue. Reply to this

I don't think CGI nipples are as bad as CGI vulvas. From what I heard, they had to give Lindsay Lohan a CGI vulva in a deleted scene from "Machete" where she does spread-eagle; this was apparently because the real one was just too disgusting to look at. They did something similar to Paris Hilton in a deleted scene from "The Hottie and the Nottie." In both instances, those scenes were removed because test-audiences kept profusely vomiting from just the idea of looking at those rat-traps, even though they were CGI. Reply to this

On the topic of 80s action movies, I get the feeling that the people who would be making hard R action films are now working on computer games. Have a look at the Just Cause movies; they're pure Cannon, utterly ridiculous and impossible to make with real actors. As for CGI nipples, that strikes me as wrong. I agree with Brad; if you're playing a stripper/hooker in an R rated movie, the audience has an expectation. Reply to this

Unfortunately my page hates donate buttons and the link doesn't work, but if you would like to help out The Cinema Snob, my Paypal account is under thecinemasnob@yahoo.com
This one does not load well for me even on different browsers.

I can't even download it. It goes slower than a dead turtle and just stops halfway through.

I grew up with '80s action movies too.
