Previously featured on YouTube before ultimately being ousted by the powers that be (those powers being the people behind "Nail Gun Massacre") thecinemasnob.com will
feature all of the Snob's videos, old and new, and also brand new shows and full length original movies for those of us who already can't get enough of Z-Grade Cinema.

Sometime, can you guys talk about the best "so bad it's awesome" stuff you've seen? That's the theme we voted on for our Halloween movie marathon. Reply to this

I liked Brad's opinion on that. Of course it was very diplomatic but at its core, I would agree. Lordkat recently wrote a kind of ranty post on that subject on Google+, essentially saying that none of the people who do these popular shows in the internet were actually critics but entertainers which isn't a bad thing of course but they tend to dislike the term. That was mainly in regard to video games but the difference is minimal.
I love what Spoony, Obscurus Lupa, Doug Walker and Brad in his different shows do but I think that primarily is entertainment. Spoony CAN be a film critic and can talk about films in a very adult, informed and interesting fashion but espeically recently he opts for a more openly comedic approach. That's absolutely fine because people seem to like it.
The Nostalgia Critic is a fun show that works immensely well but it's not film critique or analysis. Same with Obscurus Lupa (but with more interesting movies).
Confused Matthew does it in an interesting way - he basically starts out with his opinion on a film and then goes through it step by step, pointing out things that support his opinion. That's a rather honest approach. Reply to this
Also, as someone who works behind the scenes in adult, I can explain why the parody titles are so lacking in creativity. By naming their film "This Ain't (Whatever) XXX" or "A Triple XXX Parody," the studio is protecting itself from copyright lawsuits, by directly labeling its film as a parody. Reply to this

DON'T WATCH "the box." it is HORRIBLE. trust me. you might enjoy it if you like movies that completely shatter your suspension of disbelief, that make no sense, that dont explain things, that are full of plot holes, and that incorporate such perplexing and out of place supernatural elements that your jaw will literally drop. if you liked "cube zero" than you might like "the box." oh, and it is pretentious as hell. have fun Reply to this

Great show; I'm glad someone else remembers Stay Tuned!
