Well gee Brad, now I'm half tempted to actually go see Breaking Dawn if it's comparable to The Happening; it sounds like it could be the best comedy this year!
In all seriousness though, I think we all know why they split it into two movies: to compete with Harry Potter and get more money. Having read Breaking Dawn myself (...I wholly regret that), I can safely say that there isn't enough material for two whole two-and-a-half hour movies (maybe just one, but that would be pushing it). If you thought nothing happened in this movie, the second movie's going to be even worse... believe me (but you probably already know that).
Aw, damn! The birthing scene sucks? Well, half of me isn't surprised one bit since they probably had to water it down HEAVILY to keep the PG-13 rating (same with the sex scene where Wardo bites the pillow and covers Bella in bruises), but the other half wishes that they could've channeled David Cronenberg and just go all-out with it. Ah well.
Horrible Twilight movie and fever aside, it sounds like you had a fun time at Horror Hound; I've honestly only been to a few anime conventions, but from what I've seen, horror conventions look pretty fun. I'll definitely be sure to check out the other convention videos, and I hope your voice gets better. c:

No it's definitely not as watchable as "The Happening." Just that one scene with the wolves was hilariously bad. The rest of it is a chore to sit through. It's really tedious and very uninteresting.

I love Dark Night of the Scarecrow! I got a chance to see it at a local screening (I'm from the area the writer grew up in). Great to see it being promoted!

Critic Chris Campbell says about Breaking Dawn Part 1: "It's as much of an homage to old timey experimental shlock horror as broad blockbusters can get" and gave it a thumbs up. That was a bold statement.

At times, you sound like an action hero delivering a gritty monologue. And I was thinking this JUST as you were mentioning how people thought it sounded kinda sexy.
Gonna see Breaking Dawn for my site, since people seemed to enjoy me squirm my way through "The Thing"....ugh. Wish me luck!

The illness makes you sound kind of like Bruce Boxleitner if he got fused with the Squeaky-Voiced Teen. So yeah, I'd go with the sexier opinion there. XD
Actually, that problem of editing is the same in the book; you could cut that thing down to 150 pages if you carved out all the Mary-Sue and angsting shit.
DAMN about the birthing scene, though. D: Seriously, if they'd been accurate to the book this thing would be the next fuckin' Blood-Sucking Freaks for that scene alone.

Hey Brad I e-mailed you once about the movie Intruder and your right it is a good slasher film. However, i think both the version i saw and the blu-ray are edited. Do you know if there even is a unedited version out there to buy? I think they basically cut away from a lot of the death scenes, or at least some of the more graphic ones.
I emailed you about it i think 3 months ago, saying how today we still have people hunting down certain movies or certain versions of them. Still haven't found a unedited version of Intruder yet.

I completely agree with your view on the closing credits. I saw them and thought that if the whole series was as stylised as that then it might've been interesting. Obviously, it's too late now!
Good luck on Midnight Heat 2 and the Snob movie. If they're anything like your previous films (Midnight Heat 1 and Gameboys respectively) they'll be very entertaining.

You should come up with a character whose voice you can only do while sick. Then whenever you started getting a cough or a sniffle people would get excited and say "all right! In a few days we should be seeing a video with Sexy Puberty Voice McGee" or whatever.
Anyway I'm excited about the Snob movie and REALLY excited about Midnight Heat 2!

The Intruder great kills, great trailer, nice direction and, yup, an awful ending. Tourist Trap. basically a Slasher film before the rules got to rigid. It's also along with Dolls my favourite of Charles Band's puppet horrors. The House of Wax Remake owes a lot more to this movie than it does House of Wax.

Are you wearing a "Slaughter High" T-shirt or is this simply too good to be true?
Congrats on getting the Dark Night of the Scarecrow and Intruder blu-rays. I've already written my own review of the latter. The quality is suitably grangy and grungy for a slasher film, but top-notch in a way that I haven't seen in any prior versions. Even the uncut gore scenes look astounding, which is a problem with most movies to be censored for release. And the extras are really fun, too, especially Danny Hicks' story about biting one of his co-stars on the ass.

I have the very same SLAUGHTER HIGH t-shirt (I got it about 2 or 3 years ago at a horror convention)! I have DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW and INTRUDER on DVD, but I might consider getting the Blu-Rays of them!

Oh, to transfer Blu-ray, just get a Blu-ray ROM drive. I've had mine for a year, maybe even two at this point, so it's easy to get a hole of one. And then, well, you have options. You could grab the HD video files right off the Blu-ray. First you've gotta install the UDF file system. It's available online various places. Google Toshiba UDF drivers, and you'll find step-by-step guides on how to install it. Then you might, might, need some software like SlySoft AnyDVD HD so you can browse the Blu-ray directly without copyright protection getting in the way. Once you do that, navigate the folders in Windows Explorer, like normal. The video files live in the folder BDMV > Stream. The files are .m2ts, and the movie is the biggest one; view File Size and you'll see.
Now, if you're working on a Mac, then I don't know the procedures.
Or use the other guy's guide. Whichever.
