Previously featured on YouTube before ultimately being ousted by the powers that be (those powers being the people behind "Nail Gun Massacre") thecinemasnob.com will
feature all of the Snob's videos, old and new, and also brand new shows and full length original movies for those of us who already can't get enough of Z-Grade Cinema.

In reference to comedies remade as dramas: it wasn't a movie, but in 1990, a sequel to "The Brady Bunch", called "The Bradys", was put on the air. One of the girls had a drinking problem, and I think Bobby was in a wheelchair for a while. (And, no, I'm not making that up.) Reply to this

torrents are not technically bad and in fact is a revolutionary technology. The problem is that people have abused this technology. in fact the way illegal torrents are enforced under the copyright law is that it is not illegal to download the content of torrent but it is illegal to upload it. which with the way torrents are set up you download the contents and then you upload to others what you have downloaded which causes the infringement. You can set up your torrent program to not upload what you download but such people get ostracized real quickly from torrent sites since they decrease the speed at which others can download. At this point, the SOPA bill is still being debated and I know members of Channel Awesome had already made their case last week. If it gets to Obama's table, I'm sure the people behind American Censorship will find a way to encourage the president to veto it. Reply to this

SOPA has not been passed by either the house or senate. You might be thinking of the NDAA bill.
In any case, it appears to be dead in the water at this point. The U.S. government does not give the slightest shit about piracy, aside from using it as an excuse for this excretable bill. They came up with this bill because they're becoming increasingly terrified of Occupy Wall Street protesters barging into the capitol building with machine guns. Note the effect the internet had on the governments of Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya. Reply to this

Even if SOPA passes (highly unlikely at this point), I highly doubt it would affect the Cinema Snob website. It doesn't affect existing fair use laws, and all of Brad's stuff is public domain. Reply to this

While I agree that SOPA is stupid and bad for everyone, Josh obviously has no idea about SOPA. It did not yet pass in either house and it would not work as he describes it. I think it is important to fight this bill, but the first step in fighting it is getting the facts about it straight. Reply to this

You are correct that in that I did not have the facts straight at that time, BUT keep in mind this episode was recorded over a month ago, and at that time the facts I used were accurate to what was on the net about this.
