  Also, mushy is the best way for a taco to be (if you must be so inauthentic as to eat one with a hard shell ). After so many nights eating soggy, cold tacos after closing the store, I eventually came to prefer them this way. The meat soaks into the shell.

  The reason why you weren't tasting it so much is because technically the taco is not made out of Doritos chips; it's basically a regular taco shell that's coated in the Doritos seasoning. Seriously, though, I didn't mind at all; it's a magnificent piece of fast food.

  But yeah, I've had these for a while now and really, I had the same reaction as you guys. It's good but it's not great. Plus, since Nacho Cheese is one of my least favorite Dorito flavors, I wasn't impressed. They did try out a Cool Ranch Dorito taco in the last month or so of testing and though I love Cool Ranch Doritos, that tasted even more like a regular taco than the Nacho Cheese ones do. Honestly, though we've had them here for months, I've had them maybe 3 or 4 times (and this is coming from someone whose sole fast food consumption comes from Taco Bell). If I had to choose between these or the Beefy Crunch Burritos with the Hot Fritos in it, I'd rather have the burritos hands down.
  
  Also, we were also the test market for Taco Bell breakfast like 5 years ago but I was never up early enough to try it. I heard they're going to try a breakfast menu again but it doesn't sound like the same stuff they tried out back then.
